"Cash only! Warm, welcoming homey aesthetic with beautiful flowers in teapots on every table. Frank Sinatra and other romantic, uplifting tasteful classical music in the background Delicious scones, yummy eggs Benedict —- does NOT come with potatoes, just the muffin+egg etc Definitely get the scones as they come with homemade jam and marmalade and clotted cream. Lovely spot for breakfast. Outside does not have music but is also cute"

"It's a cute place, kind of a fairytale building. We had heard good things and that is why we ate there. First off it's cash-only. I was just lucky that I had decided to grab $60 from the ATM in Monterey. It barely covered our meal and tip. We both had the Tuck Box Benedict with Rarebit Sauce instead of Hollandaise. The Rarebit sauce had broken and was gritty, on both of our dishes. The Benedicts don't come with any sides, so in my opinion $18 for two eggs, two pieces of ham, and an English muffin topped with gritty sauce is a bit too pricey. We also had a scone, which was good with whip cream and jam and marmalade. Orange juice for me, organic, but not freshly squeezed. Very little food that wasn't very good for $60... CASH ONLY."

"Cash only! The food is ok and service could be better but it’s the environment that makes this place unique! The way it’s shaped and the decor inside is very cute. Thomas Kinkade loved this place so much that he painted it! We arrived when it opened at 7:30am on a Saturday and absolutely no one was there! We got to choose where we sat and chose by the window. The eggs benedict was delicious. I was disappointed that the earl grey tea was literally a tea pack. The “scone” is more like a toast and it was good but just not what you expect. The berry jam was ok but the lemon jam was wayyy too sour! Cream was better with the jams but I can’t have too much because I’m lactose sensitive. Overall, food was just OK. I can see why service was scored so low because we came in and said “hello?” So many times and even walked up to the kitchen to get someone to see us….kinda ridiculous. The lady/host was nice but not friendly. I would have preferred to try other food/restaurant and just take pictures with the building. That’s how average the food was and disappointing."

"I wanted to come here for breakfast because I loved the appearance and atmosphere of the restaurant, but I was a little bit disappointed with the food. The eggs Benedict was delicious but it was disappointing that it doesn’t come with anything else (at almost every breakfast spot I’ve been to, the meal comes with a side of salad or potatoes). Potatoes were at extra cost. The meal was filling and I still enjoyed it, but i feel that I could’ve gotten the same dish if not better for far cheaper elsewhere. It was definitely overpriced. I don’t think I’ll be back but it was nice to try it out."
