"The CIOPPINO was very good. Cheeseburger was not seasoned and did not taste good. Salmon for Market Price was to be grilled over almond wood but it did not look grilled at all. The octopus was ok, the arugula salad was drenched in balsamic dressing and the grilled onion was soggy. An old fashion was ordered but it had chunks of ice and not a block cube, and it was missing a lot of proper ingredients. It was a disappointment"
"After a three-hour whale watching tour with the Monterey Bay Whale Watch, we were given a coupon for a free appetizer with Cafe Fina. That’s how we ended up here. When you’re cold and hungry, it’s very easy to be sucked into the sweetest talker trying to solicit you to visit their restaurant. I really liked that the folks at Café Fina didn’t feel the need to do that. Plus anywhere you go on the wharf will probably be sucking ave. $20-25 per person per entree alone. We decided to spend a little bit more and try this establishment. As we walked in, and were shown to our table upstairs, I noticed the atmosphere was upscale, classic Italian while being clean and bright. Roxanne our server was fun and attentive, and helped us make some good choices. My husband got the Clam Chowder in the sourdough bread bowl while I ended up deciding on the Seafood Paella, both were excellent choices and we had a nice low-key early dinner right before the new year eve rush while watching the wildlife in the harbor. It is also worth mentioning that we were given 2 choices for our free appetizer - we ended up with the calamari, which did not disappoint. They also served crusty, sliced Italian bread with garlic and herb butter on the side - very tasty. All in all, will definitely be back when we want good Italian food."
"Lovely place at the Old Fisherman’s Warf. Very nice host and waiters, and hearty food. It has a great menu of Italian dishes with a focus on seafood. Last we visited we were not too much in a seafood mood so we tried their pizza from a brick oven and it was amazing! Thin crust, generous amount of filling - everything to our taste. Definitely recommend this cozy place for its food, the view, and great service."
"Loved it here! Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. There were also great cocktails and a nice beer and wine list. The Seafood Cioppino was amazing. I only wish I was visiting longer so I can eat here again!"
"Excellent place for Fish ! Fresh fish. We tried the fish fry and the sea bass. Succulent and well prepared. Fried Zucchini was one of the best we have had. The cook who is also the owner is a wonderful man and has been having this place for 38 years ! He is writing a book on Kindle. We will surely be back. Excellent coffee too !"
