Sushi Luma

"We’ve been here a few times and the service was always great and the food tasted great. But lately the rolls have gone down hill. The consistency isn’t there and the taste is different from the last time we’ve gone. I ordered a tuna roll with avocado and cucumber and you can tell in the pictures the avocado is non existent! If I’m paying for avocado I want avocado. Same goes for the cream cheese, unfortunately the whole order was lacking in quality and good taste. The spicy tuna roll had an off taste that I couldn’t finish."

"You can really tell someone wanted to build something with care here. The sushi was way better then you would expect for the location. The crab used in the rolls was some of the best I have had. We loved their little robot server. Also all items had great photos to help you decide which we appreciate. This is about as good as it gets without going to a high end fish forward focused spot. You should make this a regular stop if you like sushi. Our family will likely only go here from now on In petaluma."

"This place ruined sushi for me. I am here visiting and figured I'd get some sushi from down the street. Despite bringing my order back to my hotel room, the food was still so fresh. I ordered an appetizer and two special rolls and was absolutely floored by how delicious everything was. Almost literally. Good thing I was sitting down because I nearly fainted. Everything I ordered was creative and unique in their own ways. But as soon as I took my first bite, I was struck by a devastating realization. All of the sushi I have had pales in comparison to what I was experiencing and I will be returning to my home, to a town devoid of good sushi. I almost wish I chose not to go to this place. I feel like a moth that got too close to the light because I have walked into a curse that I will live with for the rest of my life. I will forever be yearning for their sushi from this day forward. I live much to far to come here anytime soon. I am just telling the honest truth here. Do with it what you will. I ate it all way to fast to take any pictures of anything."

"Had a really nice lunch there yesterday. Big selection. Super nice staff. Smelled like floor cleaner, which is my only star off- it makes it harder to enjoy the food, in my opinion. However, I'll definitely be back, and regularly! They had a nice selection of vegetable sushi rolls, which I like. But we ended up getting one of the fish-based rolls that I think of as stunt rolls- sushi rolls that have a bunch of extra stuff piled on top, with a goofy name (woman power or something). Those aren't usually my favorites but it was so good! The combination of textures and flavors was great- we ordered the same thing again. It made me rethink my preference for simplicity."

"Great new Sushi and Japanese food restaurant. Good beer and wine selection, plenty of food choices for everyone so bring all your friends. Oysters were delicious, melting salmon, Ono sashimi yum!"
