"Good selection of hard to find European products. They also have delicious prepared foods"
"My pal Pasquale Wong the Rodeo Clown from New Hampshire is here on winter break and wanted to meet me at the European Market Deli for sandwiches. Now, I wouldn't normally drive all the way to Castro Valley from Napa for a free sandwich but when Pasquale said "European Market Deli" I was all in! They're the best in the east bay, Castro Valley for sure. Plus, I wanted to hear about the Grand Nationals, and how he pulled Twiller Bunkinstick of the back of the rank bull, without getting run over. Man-O-Man those sandwiches were great. 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆"
"This has been my go-to Russian/Ukrainian store since 2005. It used to have a small dining room and we did my stepson's wedding reception there and it was great, including the decor, catering and everything. The selection is great, the catering is awesome. Whenever we need anything but cannot go right that minute, wife calls the store and asks to put it aside, then I stop by and pick it up. This store made our life richer and better. Thank you!"
"I bought caramel cookies today which I noticed at home were 2 months expired. $9 were wasted because I had to throw it away since the cookies were not fresh and were not tasty. Also, the service wasn’t good at all. The cashier wasn’t nice."
"The store has good selection of various European products from Poland, Russia, Ukraine and many other countries that I don't recognize. Customer service was mediocre, but not expecting much. This was our first visit. We bought 5 refrigerated/frozen items from this store and one of them had mold inside. This is supposed to be frozen/cold items. The expiration date is a few months away and seal was unbroken. I don't think the store is deliberately putting out moldy items, but it could be that the item was shipped non-refrigerated or they didn't take care to store the product at appropriate temperature. For a cold item to grow mold like this, what else could be bad?"
