Reviews of Maison Alyzée
"Food is so pretty in there and the service was really nice. Of course now I know why they don't put prices on anything because when you go up to the register they're $9 a piece. I like how they put tape at the bottom to hold your desserts in place in the box."
"We ordered a few different baked goods and some coffee. The hazelnut chocolate croissant and mango pastry were really good. We also got a raspberry fruit tart and chocolate chip cookie, they weren’t as good as the other two. For drinks we got an iced mocha and iced americano, the drinks were mid. I’d go back to try different pastries."
"Overly expensive for what it is. Been wanting to come here for a while, but it's tough to find seats. Shortly after noon to around 4:30p is a decent time when the spot gets pretty empty. Got a lemon tart and it was ok, but nowhere near worth $9. The filling was fine (sweet & tart), but the pastry was rock hard and I really had to scoop at it with my fork. My latte was pretty average. Overall, for $15, I could get 3 pastries and a coffee at Paris Baguette or pay more for better at Alexander's Patissiere across the street. Wouldn't recommend."
"Loved the taste, Loved the service, Loved the atmosphere. We ordered Signature Chocolate Tart and Paris-Brest pastries. These two items are out of this world. To balance the sweetness, we ordered Americano Coffee... It was a great combo. The atmosphere was lively even at 8pm the next day to black Friday when the Castro st was not that busy. Must visit this place.. on the expensive side though l."
"We stumbled upon this shop by chance in our after dinner walk and our little one craved some sweets. If you’re into European pastries, this place will be your paradise. Lots of fantastic stuff that are both eye-catching and tasty. We ordered 3 pastries: chocolate cake, vanilla flan and coffee eclair. The eclair was a but too sweet to me, but I liked the vanilla flan. My son loved his chocolate cake and finished one whole slice."
