"They have switched to an automatic espresso machine, an Eversys. This bean to cup thing seems to certainly make things easier for shop but results in a far worse drinking experience. I understand many visit shops for the atmosphere, and if you do this is a great location. However, I will be unlikely to stop here again do to the dramatic drop in quality. Disappointing to see the quality and skill of old disappearing from my favorite shops."

"I used to come to this Peets coffee every Sunday morning with friends. We’d also grab a Noah’s Bagle and hang out in back. Over the years, I started going to other Peets but this one still holds a place in my heart. It always smells great, is super clean and the staff is helpful. I love the courtyard in back though every time I go there I wonder just how much better that area could be if the landlord gave any effort to improve it. The courtyard behind Peets could be the best place in Lafayette but since it hasn’t been touched in the last 20 years, I doubt it will. Nevertheless, the space in back still enhances the visit to Peets so give it a try and let me know what you think."
