"I really hate to leave negative reviews for locally owned places but yesterday, both dishes we ordered were drenched in oil. My threshold for oiliness is usually pretty high when I eat out but I was so grossed out I couldn’t finish my food. I also had a terrible stomach ache this morning, likely from my meal here. I thought maybe it was just a bad day for them but reading a few reviews, it seems like this is becoming a pattern."

Grab their lunch or breakfast, like their Ethiopian Breakfast (scrambled eggs, scrambled injera, toast, and rice, $12) and a coffee for you to enjoy either on their sidewalk patio, in either wing of their indoor restaurant, or to-go at nearby Lake Merritt. They are also open for dinner."

"We stopped by this place after lunch for some Coffee. The place indeed has character and it's own unique charm with live music on the outside patio. I was expecting much stronger flavor from my Ethopian Coffee but the brew was not that strong even though I order mine black. It breakfast pankcakes did look very delicous with large portions. That would be my next meal when I visit Oakland again."
