Primo's Pizzeria & Pub

"First, I generally really like Primo's but this seems to be the best way to notify management/ownership of some problems... I drove out to Danville just for their mozzarella sticks. Ordered the 8 pack. They came almost instantly and had clearly been sitting for a while, like too many had been cooked then left under the warmer for the next order (I work kitchens. It happens. Not the end of the world but this does happen). So I asked my waiter to send them back and when they returned the exact same ones (now only 7) that I had before had been refried. Now they were hot, but tasted burned and like pure fryer oil. I asked to tell the manager, notto be rude but to let him know what his kitchen was doing. He argued with me, saying that they absolutely had not been sitting but were cold because "they come out of the refrigerator." Yeah, duh, but then they go to the fryer where it is HOT - not lukewarm. He didn't care that the kitchen fried the returned ones again and sent them out burnt and only offered to take them off of our bill, not to replace with fresh ones (remember, these things were the main reason I drove here) and generally had a terrible attitude. He was stomping around the whole place like he didn't want to be there and thought he was so above all of the customers. I heard him snap at our waiter when the poor guy told him a customer wanted a word. The pasta and pizza I ordered were fine and as expected. The young man who waited our table was very friendly, helpful, and obviously cared. So... the manager who was there on Monday afternoon 3/11/24 could use a talking to and some investigation into the kitchen would be beneficial for the whole place. A+ to the rest of the staff who were great. Hopefully I get a response and get to take this review down soon, because as I said I normally like this place but this particular manager does not have his heart in it and is giving everyone a bad experience."

"Carry out order scheduled for pickup at 6:30. Arrived & was told it would be ready in 5 minutes, 5 minutes later they said ten more minutes. We could see the pizzas sitting on the warmer the whole time & so assume we were waiting on the wings, except at 7pm, staff handed us our pizzas & nothing else at which point we had to show our receipt to receive the rest of the food, which they handed over immediately. There was no communication or explanation for the 30+ minute delay and it seemed like everything was ready and sitting for quite a while. Very disappointed and unimpressed."

"Despite the family being in the San Ramon Valley for 36 years, I had never eaten at Primo's. We always had take out. Quiet evening on a Wednesday. But service seemed slow to come to the table, and took awhile for the pizza to come. But really good pizza, it's all about the pizza. And a great place to watch sports. Indoors or outdoor beer garden. Parking is on the street."

"From casual business meetings to sports team socials to a casual afternoon spot to eat or watch a game, Primos is the place! The food and staff are consistently on point-fresh ingredients, variety of foods (best tacos in town), and the hardest working staff/management/ownership around. We will absolutely continue to support and recommend Primos for years to come. Come out, speak to the staff, meet people in your community and have a great time."

"Truly unfortunate what we just went through. After years of coming here, today we just got the worst service ever. And this was prior a big event the place had. 12/22. We were greeted with no customer service whatsoever. Okay, no problem. Server lady, was also miserable. And would not smile or anything, again. No problem. Ordered two beers, got them. They were arm but I can deal with that. It’s okay. Ordered our meal, appetizer and pizza. After this, we didn’t see our server again. Beers got empty, we were ready to ordered a pitcher or whatever. Appetizer shows up, we ask the lady who brought the appetizer to please have our server come to us as we see her talking to everybody except us. Time passes, no water. No beer. No server. Pizza shows up, we ask kindly again to please have someone check on us. We’re thirty, we need crushed red pepper, napkins. Nothing. Stopped to search for our server lady but she was busy with other tables. She finally shows up, we just ordered the check and paid. We left. And for the very first time ever, we left no tip. Truly terrible. I guess this place should add self serve and just call it a day, that way we enjoy our meal and drinks instead of hunting staff for 65+ minutes."
