Reviews
"I NEVER leave reviews but I want to say that I LOVE THIS PLACE and I love that they are open late and have good food!! My favorite dish is the garlic bread! The owner is a amazing guy and he made my experience amazing! I will DEFINITELY be coming back!! Next time you think about getting pizza get it from here!! You will not be disappointed!"
"Sooo good. The square slices have a chewy, crispy crust that is super satisfying. Would recommend the Bulldog. This will be my go-to pizza spot in this area for sure."
"I love the pizza from sunset squares. The flavors were incredible. I tried the Mushroom and the pepperoni slices, they were great. The crispy edges of the cheese and the flavor from the mushrooms was delicious. The service was great, very friendly workers. I will definitely come here often. It’s a great place to bring friends and get a quick delicious meal."
"The individual slices are ok but not great nor a great price. It'll end up being over $6 for a plain slice. They do however use the correct pepperoni, if pepperoni is your thing. And they specify which pepperoni they use and that's a good thing, they know which kind to use and specify that. Their Detroit pizza is very very good. I'm tired of seeing the name Tony Gemignani. He doesn't have pizza in his heart, only in his wallet. He merely adopted pizza, I was born in it, molded by it. His pizza tastes like he bought his way into it, like someone who buys an already restored classic car that someone spent a decade of frustration and their savings restoring, rather than rebuilding it themself. And then brags about it. If it says "by Tony Gemignani" on the menu to me it just seems so incencere. The Detroit pizza here is just about as good and without all the pomp and circumstance, it's honest and unassuming and it tastes sincere and is the right price for what it is. If you want something that isn't individual slices this is a great place to go. I would also note that delivery reviews while valid are less valid unless that is how you intend to consume it. Temperature and consistency of pizza should only be judged when fresh -- pizza quality degrades quickly with time especially if you do not reheat it in your oven. It's meant to be eaten hot hot, like when you have to blow on it to cool it down and the cheese is super melty. Independent third party delivery is too inconsistent to yield reliable results. If you can eat the pizza here or bring it home yourself quickly it'll be much better."
"JUST GOOD - NOT GREAT. Admittedly, I got it through Postmates. That being said, it’s not that it was cold that I didn’t like. Rather, it just wasn’t cooked that well. To quote Dave Portnoy - it didn’t have a great undercarriage. It was not crispy and ended up being more mushy than anything else. The top was cooked well and the toppings were tasty, the c’est/dough itself is what was left lacking."
