"Didn't actually get to eat here. Sat down to order and noticed the lighting was very very dim lit so much that I couldn't easily read the menu. While adjusting my menu to try to see i noticed the menu was sticky. I just let that go and went on reading. Then coffee came with teaspoons. When I picked up the spoon It was obviously wet and felt sticky to the touch. When I opened my napkin so I could wipe the spoon off. A black piece of old food fell out. I just let that go. And went about drying the spoon and it still was sticky like soap or sanitizer left on. I decided not to use the spoon and just use my fork... well the fork had a chunk of the black stuff that fell out stuck between its forks. At the point we all checked out silverware and another fork was the same and the other coffee teaspoon. At that point we got up and informed the staff we were leaving and they need to attend to their dish washer. I get why the restaurant was so dim lit... I only gave 3 stars for food and service because the waitress was nice while we were there and I didnt actually eat or drink anything while there. Go to the Post Office bar grill."
"Took my mom here for her birthday.Looks like a restaurant that needs a new crew of what they consider chefs. Fried chicken tenders were brown, cold and lumpy with little chicken. Fries were cold and lacked flavor. Salad had liquid filled dressing, with a sour tasting old lettuce. I should've taken pictures. Staff was pleasant. I got most my money back. Waitress had to bring me an abomination of food. Manager helped me with the situation."
"We stopped in Redding at Applebee's for dinner when passing through town. There was a wait for a table so we asked to sit in the bar. At first everything seemed fine and our server was nice. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad and Mango Smoothie and Stephen had the new All You Can eat deal (fried shrimp, boneless wings, and riblets) and a milkshake. The food didn't stand out but it was okay. I think a miss was really with the service. Stephen ordered the wings and shrimp then got a second order of just shrimp asking for no fries. All well and good until our server told us they were going on break but other staff members would check on us. We also heard this mentioned to the bartender who seemed to be in a lead position. We sat and waited and waited...after 20-minutes had gone by with nobody asking us if we needed anything (Stephen wanted to try the riblets the third menu item of his meal). During our wait, a staff member sat at the table next to us for a break. I don't know their policy for crew and breaks but it seemed odd that an employee could sit at a table talking at a full voice to the other staff in the restaurant including at the bar. The customers came to enjoy their dinner not listen to the crew's other tasks and scheduling. Stephen was able to flag another waiter down and they talked to the bartender who then came to the table asking if we wanted anything else. We told them about the wait and asked for the check that was quickly brought over. We were given a discount for the inconvenience which was the right thing to do. Overall dining here was a disappointing and stressful experience."
"The food was good, well priced, and the service both the waiter and the bus person was incredible. Really over the top. And this, late at night after they had a huge rush every table in the restaurant had to be cleaned they had been so busy that night yet the servers were still giving it their all; they must have been so tired. I had the all you can eat ribs shrimp and chicken It was very good with a well-priced glass of red wine. How nice to get happy hour prices after 11:00 p.m. All in all, a great dining experience."
"Amazing. I've never had a bad experience in an Applebee's, but this experience was truly exceptional. They weren't too busy so we were seated comfortably. Our waitress Ashley was awesome. She didn't have to write down our order, she just remembered it. Even with appetizers, side salads, and my wife making substitutions to her sides. She stayed on top of our drinks, even bringing us a preemptive refill, which was greatly appreciated. She was friendly and professional. Now to the food, if you haven't had Cheeto boneless chicken, you're missing out. So good. I don't usually do boneless chicken because it's mostly additives, but these were real pieces of chicken. The 3 cheese chicken Alfredo was really good, I had leftovers...that never happens."
