"We discovered a new favorite restaurant called The Kitchen in Arcata! If you are ever in the area it is the place to go especially if you enjoy great food! We were welcomed warmly upon arrival. The food was exceptionally delicious - fresh, flavorful and beautifully prepared. Portions were quite generous and the cost was economical especially given the quality of our meal. The service was attentive without being smothering. Our only regret is that we don’t live close enough to swing by on a weekly basis to enjoy their changing menu."

"Love the concept of this restaurant; one meal selection per week. The ingredients are fresh & seasonal and the recipes creative and quite tasty! Portion sizes are generous. We have been twice and absolutely loved it each time. Tonight was homemade pasta to die for! Drink selection is excellent as well. Joe & Jake are friendly and welcoming. A great experience all around."

"I would've taken photos of the food, but it was so delicious I'd already eaten it all: The only decision for me was whether to take a photo of my empty plate, or lick it clean. We came on a night with the shrimp and grits. Fantastic service, amazing seasonal ingredients, great environment. I'd highly recommend going here!"
