"This review is based solely on my experience and understandings: I had a horrible experience with this provider. They made a bridge for me that I never wanted. I was told that I could NOT get implants because I didn't have enough bone structure in my mouth to attach the implants. After the implants were made and I tried for approximately a year to get comfortable with them, I went back to Dr. Norvell for implants again. This time, he approved the implants after spending almost $1,200 on a bridge. From my understanding, my bone structure has not changed according to X-Rays, therefore he lied because I have the implants in my mouth now. In essence, Dr. Norvell LIED to me about the inability to get implants. Thanks to Dr,. Lucy Sloan in LaVergne, TN. I have the implants that I have wanted before Dr. Norvell made the bridge. Dr. Sloan has over 20 years experience unlike Dr. Norvell. She is also the most honest dental provider I've ever had. Not waiting for Dr. Sloan and going to Dr. Norvell cost me over $1,200. In conclusion and thanks to Metlife, they have agreed to reinstate my benefits if I repaid them the $723.20 that they paid Dr. Norvell for the bridge he made. By paying Metlife the $723.20, I don't have to wait for 5 YEARS to get my implants covered and my dental benefits will be restored back to my ability to have my implants covered by Metlife. I sincerely advise you to do the following before doing business with these dishonest people: 1) Confirm that they are in your insurance network. Please don't get acceptance of insurance confused with being a network provider. If they are not a network provider, they can charge you what they want (VERY IMPORTANT) 2) Check with your insurance provider to get a pre-estimate and to determine if there are any limitations if you accept Dr. Norvell"s treatment plan (VERY IMPORTANT) 3) Don't be consumed with the beautiful office and stay focused on your goals, insurance, and out of pocket expenses My next steps are to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Board of Dentistry to file a claim for veracity and unethical conduct. Since Meharry referred me to Dr, Norvell because he worked for them, they will be contacted as well. In conclusion, be aware of these dishonest people."
