"Unethical and shady business practices. I have been lied to over and over just to get me to the chair. They will tell you whatever you need to hear to get you as a patient then will pull a bait and switch and neglect your wishes. Be prepared to advocate on your own behalf. I explained when making the appointment I am not good at the dentist and prefer NO2 for two root canals. I was promised that my request would be fulfilled. The Dr. didn't use NO2, she used novacane on the first session. The first dose wore off in 5-7 minutes so she fell back on practically stabbing the tooth itself for a second dose. The second dose again wore off in 5-7 minutes but the short term pain of her drilling was better than more novacane. On the second visit, I checked in and verified I could get NO2 for that appointment. The woman said talk to the Dr because it’s a contractor and they don’t know what she can and can’t do. I drew the short straw of dentists who cannot use NO2 and wanted to use more novacane. I wasted an entire day requesting off work just to get in and out of the chair. The people who booked the appointments don't know their contractors’ processes, which reinforces the idea they will tell you anything to get you into a chair. Had they known their contractors, they wouldn’t have wasted my day and time with someone who cannot use NO2 but in order to get me in the chair, they said yes when making the booking. I walked out and cancelled all other appointments with Smile Generation. I have paid over $1500 so far and have to find the care elsewhere. To her credit, Dr Hannan apologized and explained she had not been communicated my preferences. Understandable but each appointment made was based off lies to get me into the chair. She also explained the owner of my location would like to follow up with me. Tomorrow marks two weeks of silence. They have no corporate offices or anyone you can speak with. The supposed corporate office in California has a different dental office name and is only a voicemail so, I cannot even speak with someone above this office. On top of this, they are sent me a bill for another $500 and the "MyChart" website claims I owe them! Overall, just very disappointing that I have no idea if I am owed a refund or what is happening with the $1500 I paid. Update- this company refuses to refund my over payment. They are refusing until I sign a release of liability. They refuse to give me back my money until I promise not to sue. Absolutely outrageous to force litigation when I only asked for my overpayment back! I didn't ask for a full refund, only what was not completed and they refuse."

I had a dental emergency on a Friday morning and by early Friday afternoon, the emergency had been addressed and next steps in place to resolve the problem.
