Reviews of AutoNation Honda 385
"Venita helped me find the perfect car to meet my needs. She explained the features in detail and allowed me to answer questions freely. She made sure that I found the perfect car to match my specific requests. I enjoyed my experience and will refer people to her."
"I had an absolute great experience at Autonation Honda on 385. The salesperson reached out to me and was not pushy. I set up an appointment, Atrienne listened to my wants and I left there a happy customer. They are courteous, professional and friendly. The biggest thing is I was only there a very short amount of time."
"Update of my review: Do not buy Autonation gap insurance. I'm going into the 4th month of trying to get my daughter's car resolved. It's been the worst experience of my life. They don't have any clear directions on what the process is. They are rude and will hang up you. This entire process has been slow walked. You will be better served to buy gap insurance from your lender than Autonation. They said they issued the check almost a month ago and my loan company has not recieved it. Then they don't cover the full amount and only issue payment for what is owed minus an estimated refund of any extended warranty you might have. Then you must wait for the extended refund amount to paid to find out if it matched their estimate before they will pay off anything that is left owed. I still have a long way to go to get this resolved. Meanwhile my daughter is walking. I fully expect to see the standard reply from Autonation about how they strive to do this that and the other.. I don't need that, I need results..Take my advice, don't do it!"
"Car buying experience was adequate, but nothing extraordinary. The closer (my label for the guy who tries to sell you all the extra stuff) was unpleasant and dishonest — he kept changing the numbers on the warranty offer (number of years, number of miles) and things like that. I received a survey from the dealership after the fact with a plea for all 10s across the board. I gave 10s where they were earned and 7s where they more accurately reflected my experience. I received this text after I submitted my survey: “we do appreciate your business but the 7 on the survey kills the entire sales staff and managements pay. AutoNation requires our scores to be perfect or the entire department is penalized and not just a slap on the wrist. This survey will cost all sales reps, all sales managers, all finance managers and the GM in total around 25k in commissions. We do not take surveys lightly and that is why I explained the importance of it and I understand your comment but wish you would've said something to me and I would've had my GM contact you. Again I'm sorry we failed you!” The expectation of perfect scores on surveys instead of honest feedback is the professional equivalent of “everyone gets a trophy”. When you tie survey results to pay / commissions, employees will ask for perfect feedback, even when it isn’t earned. You don’t want to learn from customer experiences — you want to get paid. A sad state of affairs and VERY off-putting. I’ll be in the market for another car in two years — based on this experience, I’m not sure I’ll visit AutoNation."
"The service manager was great, attentive, professional, and thorough. He did his job very well. The actual work on the car (mechanics) is the reason this is only 3 stars. My tire the plugged ended up completely flat in a couple of days. The tire light came back on the very next day. The battery issue I came in for with the car slow to start first thing still was the same even after battery replaced. So neither issue was actually fixed. Ended up at Firestone to get two new tires because when I tried to reschedule with the dealership. I could not get anyone on the phone in the service department. In fact that’s the new norm now."
