"Dr. Sammons has always been wonderful, however, his office staff, specifically his billing staff is much to be desired. Even though we have dental and medical insurance they were unsure of the reimbursement so I was asked to pay $1200 up front and they would reimburse me when insurance paid. I agreed, when we arrived, they told me $1600. It has been almost 6 months. This account shows zero balance owed due to my payment. I’ve repeatedly called for assistance in them sending the claim to major medical not dental Insurance for 4 months before anyone would assist. They have no sense of urgency to collect the insurance payment so I can receive some of the $1600 back as my deductible was met. I feel it’s extremely unprofessional and unfortunately will have to find another oral surgeon for any future needs for my family."

"My daughter was referred to Dr.Rickman by her orthodontist. It didn't take long to get her an appointment for consultation or her procedure. Everything went well and she has not had much pain at all. Dr. Rickman even called to check on her later than night which we very much appreciate!"

"First time we had an appointment we drove all the way from Lexington for them to tell us there wasn't a doctor in the office so they needed to reschedule didn't even bother to call. We rescheduled which is fine but we have waited in this office over 2 hours and people that have came in after us have already went back. We are literally the last people in the waiting room and we are still waiting all for a consultation."

"Saw Dr. Rickman about 1.5 mths ago b/c of a severe abscess that ended up being an emergency. Like most people I come to Google reviews to find someone to take out not only the abscess but other bad teeth as well. Scheduling the initial visit, was great, was in within 5 days after seeing a walk-in clinic. My mouth & face was so swollen, I could barely swallow & eating just wasn't happening. Saw Dr. Rickman on a Thursday & was in at 6am the next morning for emergency oral surgery; had 7 teeth & 1 root removed. Had to have a drain for the weekend for the bad abscess & Dr. Sammons removed it that following Monday. Dr. Rickman was amazing & did an awesome job with what he had to work with!! I have healed well from the work done. I was so terrified & everyone I encountered on every visit were excellent people that truly put me at ease. I highly recommend either physician within this practice. Don't let a few negative reviews stop you from getting great dental work!"

"I was in for some extractions, some of which were roots alone. The staff put me at ease and the sedation dentistry was everything I had hoped it would be. An hour and a half after the work was complete the bleeding had stopped. Six hours later most of the pain was gone and ice took care of a good bit of the swelling. Dr. Sammons called me this evening to check up on me. This is the first time any oral surgeon has done that and I could not be more pleased. This guy is the best and I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. You won't find a better or more skilled oral surgeon."
