"Located right near the Belcourt Theater, The Dumpling House was a fantastic find. Having never been there before we needed a little guidance. I inquired about what’s good. I was asked if I liked spicy, with an enthusiastic YES, I was recommended the peanut butter pork dumplings and I added an order of the hot and sour soup. My wife, does not, she order 1/2 chicken and coriander and 1/2 pork. In short everything was f’n amazing. So good. The amount of spice was perfect. The hot and sour soup was so flavorful. The milk tea was also a delight. Everything was prepared so well. If I had to give the place one strike was the fact that the tables were sticky and dirty from spilled soy sauce. They were very busy, so I just cleaned it off myself. Other than that, the staff was very nice and just lovely. We will certainly be back again. This place is the real deal."
"Dumpling House had raving reviews, so of course we had to drop in while in Nashville. We went about twenty minutes before they closed on a Saturday night. We came in and checked out the menu, it was a bit confusing. It said some things were out of stock but the person at the register said for us to ignore the menu because it wasn't accurate, so we were back to being confused and had to ask questions. We ordered Peanut Butter Shrimp Dumplings, Peanut Butter Pork Dumplings, A Half/Half (12pc) Curry Beef and Onion Dumplings & Veggie Dumplings (Pan Fried). The woman making the dumpling was a bit snappy when the lady who took our order asked if the Half/Half could be put in separate containers because I am a pescatarian. She snipped at the cashier, "don't do that again". That didn't really sit well with us because it didn't seem like the most challenging task but more importantly, there was a kinder way for her to communicate that to the cashier, and ultimately us since we were within ear shot and I'm pretty sure she knew that. But hey, it was late, they were about to close and maybe that was the rule. Either way, a kinder/clearer line of communication would've been appreciated and gone a long way. But nonetheless the dumplings were amazing. Peanut Butter Shrimp Dumplings (10/10) - The peanut butter sauce was nothing short of amazing. The dumplings were steamed to perfection and and flavorful. Peanut Butter Pork Dumplings (10/10) - They truly were identical to the Shrimp Dumlings, See above. Curry Beef & Onion Dumplings (10/10) - The curry beef was savory and juicy. The flavors were very robust. It can be described as a party in your mouth. Veggie Dumplings (Pan Fried) (10/10) - These were a different texture than the other because they were the only pan fried ones and I simply loved them just the same. They also had nice crunch throughout with the veggies. They didn't come with the peanut sauce but the sauce was so good I used it to coat these ones too."
"I’m here for the food, not for the IG following which is apparently why this place is so popular. Came with friends who said it’s the rave online and really wanted to try it. We came at 3pm on a Saturday and it was PACKED. The food was really good, I can see why it gets attention. It taste fresh and authentic. We also tried the wonton soup and hot & sour soup and both were delicious and great price for the size. My fav of the dumplings were by far the chicken coriander. But the tables are tiny and close together making it difficult to eat with everyone so close together. The server gave our food to the wrong table and we asked her about it, she said she was sorry and would fix it for us. We waited and asked three more times (30 mins later) before she brought it. We saw her bring out food to serval other ppl that orders after us, and just ignored us. I don’t think I’d come back. Service was a disaster in there."
"If you're a dumpling enthusiast like me, Dumpling House in Nashville is an absolute must-visit! Nestled in the heart of the city, this hidden gem exceeded all my expectations for an authentic dumpling experience. From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly made dumplings filled the air, setting the stage for a delightful culinary journey. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The menu boasts a variety of dumplings, each a little pocket of perfection. Whether you're a fan of traditional pork dumplings or looking to explore more adventurous flavors, Dumpling House has something for everyone. The attention to detail in the preparation is evident, and every bite is a burst of flavor. The staff is not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations based on my preferences, enhancing the overall dining experience. The dumplings are freshly made on-site, and you can taste the difference. The wrappers are delicate yet sturdy, and the fillings are generously portioned. It's evident that the chefs take pride in their craft, creating dumplings that are both visually appealing and incredibly tasty. The only dishes I dint like are the Tofu and soup dumplings. I mixed peanut sauce in the tofu and that changed the flavor to good :) But soup dumplings are a disappointment. There was no flavor and no soup in it. May be they have to reinvent the dish. Also the presentation of the dishes needs to be improved. They tastes so delicious but presentation is bad. In conclusion, Dumpling House in Nashville is a true haven for dumpling lovers. Whether you're a local looking for a new favorite spot or a visitor craving authentic and delicious dumplings, this place is a winner. Cheers to Dumpling House for bringing a taste of dumpling perfection to Music City! #DumplingHouseNashville #DumplingDelight #FlavorfulBites"
"I LOVE a good dumpling! And the dumplings here are not only delicious and varied in fillings - but you get 12 per order! AND you can have them steamed or fried. Personally, I prefer mine steamed. But both are excellent here. Yesterday we had the Chicken & Mushroom fried, and the Pork & Cabbage steamed. Yummy! Be sure to order an appetizer or two (they’ll bring it to you quickly while your hand-made dumplings are being freshly cooked) they are incredible! I recommend the Asian Pickled Cucumber and the Spicy Tofu with Peanut Sauce. Both the indoor and outdoor atmosphere is simple, clean and welcoming. The staff are very friendly, helpful and diligent! I have one teeny-tiny quibble and that’s that I prefer a thinner dumpling wrap. These are tasty and lovely, but just a little thick with a bit more chew to them."
