"I had no idea what I was in for. I was not familiar with Afghan food at all but one of my friends was brave and placed an order. When I saw her food, there was no way I was ordering anything else in the food court. It was absolutely beautiful and delicious. The value was wonderful. Food was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delightful. The service was outstanding. The gentleman was incredibly kind and professional. I'm excited to leave this review because I'm hoping people will check them out so they can stay open. I know several restaurants in that eatery have not remained and I really hope they do."

"Highly recommend it! My husband and I got dinner at the Rom’s place. The food was very tasty. My husband got the vegan chicken bowl, it was delicious rice and chicken, covered in puffed bread with a side salad (flavorful olive oil, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and lettuce plus seasoning) it all came with a side of green herby sauce. I got the smaller cup with a side of Pakawra fries and it was all a perfect combination of food and flavors. We will definitely be back :)"

But the most impactful part of the entire experience was how friendly and welcoming Rom is. His kindness and gratitude really shine through. "This was my first visit to Rom’s House and it won’t be my last! First ever exposure to traditional Afghan cuisine and the food was delicious. The food has a wonderful earthy flavor from the many traditional spices in the dish (the turmeric was my favorite spice I noted). Not only was the food amazing, the service from the staff was even better. They are filled with kindness and a joy of bringing their culture to the new restaurant. You won’t regret your time here. Rom’s House is such a wonderful addition to the Knoxville community."

"Absolutely delicious, unique cuisine! We got the Rom Bowl with chicken. Seasonings were excellent and the wild rice/carrot mixture inside with the chicken was super moist. The bread went well with it all together. The salad’s dressing had a kick to it, and it’s very refreshing with the bowl. Will be back!"
