"I've been living in TN for 4 years. I am Latino and American citizen. I have been working in maintenance for 3 1/2 years, Employee at Nissan Plant, Smyrna who employs thousands of employees. I have been buying safety shoes at Hayes Shoes for the last 3 years, where so far I have bought about pairs of shoes two time any year and they are the ones I have recommended to my friends who, after my recommendation, have become Hayes customers. Let me tell you what looked horrible to me today. Never before in this state have I felt like I do today. Last Friday I bought some shoes almost close to closing when I tried them on again in my house, inside my room that is fully carpeted. Notice that the shoe was a bit too big for me. So stop by today to change the size or get a more comfortable one and they tell me they can't change it because it's dirty on the bottom. Let him clean it and take it with him so they can check it to see if it can be changed. Because company policy does not allow it. A new shoe that I tried on a carpet is dirty according to them. What a ridiculous thing. So to leave the money there is no problem but for a claim or rather to help a customer after buying it is not possible. "My boyfriend and I went to Hayes Shoes today because he needed a new pair of work boots. He came in with a long list of needs and a only 2 preferences. He needed boots that are slick resistant, waterproof, fire resistant, oil resistant, and a safety toe. He also mentioned he did not want steel toe, he wanted taller lace ups, and he needs them in size 12 wide. To most stores this product would be hard to come by but within 5 minutes of us being in the store the saleswoman found him exactly what he wanted. It’s safe to say we didn’t spend more than 10 minutes in the store. Definitley recommend!"
