"The Manger is the Best. Mr Walker was so kind and we have never been treated better anywhere. I have traveled all over the world and ate some of the best place you could find. But this was so Great. One of the BEST Places we have visited. WOW. The Food, Burnt End is something to try..... The food there is crazy GOOD. Don't forget to order the Banana Pudding. Again Mr. Walker Thanks. "Good flavors. Brisket was a little tougher then I am used to. Sausage was very good, nice balance of flavors. Also enjoyed the mild bbq sauce. Had the The Mayor Beans, Pimento Mac and Cheese, and creamed corn(taster is perfect size). All sided were excellent."
"Went in for lunch yesterday for the first time. Been wanting to try this place for a while. It's a cool college town type eatery. The service is friendly and top notch. Our waitress was excellent and attentive. The menu is unique in the fact that you build your own plate. They have sample size portions for sides which are pretty big. This concept led my mother and I to construct two different plates so we could try a lot more as it's our first time. That being said I'm gonna break everything down individually. Pulled pork- Tender and smokey done very well. Top notch pork. Smoked bologna- Cut thick and seriously good. Smoky and salty. Spare ribs- Big, meaty smoked goodness. Beans & sausage- Excellent flavor but not much sausage. Still good though. Pimento mac & cheese- Excellent pimento flavor. Very good. Baked beans- Sweet and flavorful brown sugar goodness. Potato salad- A little bland but lots of potatoes. Cornbread- Dense and corn flavored with a dab of fantastic jam. Pickled red onions- magnificent garnish! Creamed corn- very chewey and diffrent but still fairly good. Banana pudding- Very unique and diffrent. More like banana cheesecake filling with chess cookie and banana slices. It truely was an excellent meal. Two cold German beers added to the bbq experience. The sauce trio on the table has something for everyone. I like the regular Dead End sauce even though the meat was so good it didn't need any. I can't recommend this place enough and look forward to my next visit. If your in Knoxville and like bbq this is the place."
"The service was great! Food was tasty. The pulled chicken was so tender. There are 3 bbq sauces offered . The sweet potato waffle fries were good comes with a delicious dip. The queso with pulled pork wasn't my thing - cheese was too thick- I like it less thick. I have had the pimento mac n cheese ( it's da bomb!) Hubby had brisket n cheddar sandwich he says was delicious and potato salad yummy too! Hip joint. Would recommend trying this place when in Knoxville TN"
"Worth getting off the interstate or driving across town. It’s a bbq joint, sports bar and restaurant all rolled into one. Came in a 3 for lunch and everyone was friendly and courteous. I can just imagine this place being packed out. Besides the excellent long shred bbq with a choice of three homemade sauces. The sandwich doesn’t come with slaw, and as their slaw has a blue cheese flavor that was a good thing. The pickle slices come on the side if that’s your thing. Homemade chips as pictured. And save room for an excellent banana pudding. Enjoy."
