IHOP

"This place has always been too small and crowded, even when not busy. It's the worst building design. If you're not in the back, you're practically in the kitchen and it's noisy. Despite all that I still didn't mind going here every once in a while for (late) breakfast with family. Last visit was especially terrible. They were extremely busy and I always try to keep that in mind and don't mind being patient. Got our food, but didn't get any silverware until we asked. Even then there weren't any knives included and we had to wait because they didn't have any clean ones. There were only three of us and only two of us got our drinks. Food items are ready at different times after being cooked, understandable. But each item was brought separately on its own plate so there were so many plates on the little tiny table. To top it off, there were TWO long hairs on my food. Quietly brought it to the server's attention, and they distractedly said sorry we'll give you a discount and quickly took away the plate. I'd rather have not paid for the full meal. One of the people I was with took the check, so I honestly don't know if they even gave a discount. Finally to the point where I won't be returning."

"Food was cold and seemed liked it had been pulled from the fridge. No one hardly checked on me and I had to go up to the kitchen to ask for eating utensils. There was syrup poured in both salt and pepper containers."

"My fiancé and I just left from here and I can assure you that we will not be back. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken/brought to our table quickly as well. Our server Nicole was doing her best to take care of us while also having to help in the kitchen. We arrived shortly after 2pm. It was almost 2:30pm before we got our food. But the bad review is not because of the slow speed of service….but because my fiancé found not just one but two separate hairs that were not hers in her food. The first one she had taken off of her plate before I knew about it but the second one that she found I took a picture of. Also an employee who was clocked in and working - either Latoya, Latonya, something along those lines - was allowed to place a food order while on the clock and her order was made ahead of the customers who were waiting. This is not acceptable. She should have been made to wait until she was off the clock before her order was allowed to be taken. Also we noticed there was two employees in IHOP shirts sitting in the back of the restaurant. I am not certain what they were doing….they could have been on break. But if they were they shouldn’t be taking a break in the restaurant. It makes it look like employees are sitting around not doing anything while the people in the kitchen are struggling. A terrible experience all the way around today. UPDATE: It has been two weeks since our visit here and no one has ever contacted me about my experience. Obviously they do not care. I will be calling the Knox County Health Department this week and reporting this. Hair in food is an obvious violation of the health rules."

"Really good food. Something tells me that our waiter was new or just slightly inexperienced. The worst thing about this location was the radio kept spazzing and static sounds. It was funny at first and then it wouldn't stop for more than 3 seconds."

"i don't normally post reviews but i had to this time. my sister, our kids and i went to eat here just because it was supposed to be a "quick" stop. terrible idea! we waited for over 20 mins to be seated, we let that slide since they were busy. once we got our seats we got our drinks taken immediately, we didn't wait too long for them. our server came back and took our order which went fine. we're tried to be patient but they took over 1:30 to bring our food out. we ordered burritos. she later came and told us they didn't have tortillas for the burritos so we just decided it'd be fine if we just got them in bowls. eventually she brought our food out. we got my food and the kids food but my sisters order never came. she went to our table about 3-4 times and never noticed she didn't bring my sister food even after saying "her plate will be out in a min". we got tired of waiting and she came over and said "once y'all are done you can go to the register and slip the check there"... still didn't notice her food wasn't there. i was confused so i went to the register and one of the ,i think, managers was there so i told them my sister never got her food. our server was very sure she did and looked at me like i was dumb or something. she and the other guy went to the table and saw she didn't have a plate. the manager guy said he'd have the kitchen make her a burrito to go and got a 20% discount. it's safe to say that didn't make things any better especially after seeing her burrito. there was only chicken and hash browns in there. very disappointing. i've never had an experience like this one there and definitely not going back! very irritated with how many "i'm so sorry" we got!"
