Reviews of Angie's Kitchen
"Everything was delicious! I was really surprised with how good the mashed potatoes were. The jalapeno cornbread definitely has a kick! Great service and overall wonderful place to eat!"
"Ordered chop steak with green beans french fries jalapeno cornbread steak was the driest I've ever had very overcooked add onion mushroom and peppers that were cooked in a frying pan just laying on top no gravy no moisture at all the green beans were way over spiced the people that sat the table next to us got there after us it was obviously they knew the people that work there they ordered after us they got their food way before us our waitress disappeared another waitress brought us food later for three people it was 45 bucks and we all had water the food was not cooked well preparation was very poor they'll be closed by Summer repeat customers is the heart of a restaurant when you survey chop steak that is literally as dry as paper probably won't go back"
"This is 100% the place to eat if you are in the area or passing through. Great food and great prices."
"When I entered the restaurant, there were 3 wait staff standing at the back. No one acknowledged me for about a minute. I was told to sit where I wanted. I was given a menu and I ordered a hot tea. Two wait staff sat at a table talking while the 3rd was occupied with cleaning. Only one other table was occupied. I almost left money for my tea because it took several minutes for someone to take my order. The sides were good - coleslaw and okra. The main was their special of chicken and dumplings and lacked a lot to be desired. The dumplings were cool in the middle and the gravy had an herb taste that I don't normally associate with chicken or dumplings. The thing that stood out to me the most was there was no joy in the restaurant among the employees. Everyone, from front of house to back of house, seemed to just be there for the job, not for the joy of cooking or serving. There were no smiles or laughter. I probably won't go out of my way to go there again."
"Small town - Big pulled pork sandwich. Angie's Kitchen is now on my list. I had the pulled pork (large) sandwich. It was great. Lots of meat. I also had a sample of the pot roast - Oh my, it was delicious. The restaurant is local and quaint. My new Loudon Lunch spot."
