"We had an excellent time here on a Saturday. We stopped in on a whim after an early matinee movie. The specials were different types of steamed buns. We chose the steamed pork buns, there were four to an order. They were great! We then ordered the garlic tonkotsu ramen and the spicy beef ramen. The presentation for both bowls was excellent. The garlic tonkotsu was EPIC. The flavor was so good! The spicy beef was very good but I preferred the garlic tonkotsu because the broth base was just out of this world. The portions are substantial so come hungry. The only thing I would say about the experience that could use improvement was the sparse atmosphere. They have music playing, tv's showing programming, and everything is clean, neat and tidy, and it is a pleasant and relaxing ambiance. However, I personally would like more flair from the overall experience when dining out, so I would suggest either some more authentic decorations or some different lighting and wall textures/window treatments. Overall, though, a great experience in the Boro."
"Better than the 1 other ramen place in town, but still not that impressive. Ordered the spicy ramen and just thought it was okay. The marinated pork in my bowl was good. My friend said the chicken in her bowl lacked flavor and her broth was salty."
"Sat at the bar and Priscilla was my server who explained the menu and while I wanted a beer their selection is very limited so I went with water. Decided on the Chicken Karaage as an appetizer and the Tonkotsu Shoyu for the ramen option. Sadly, the Chicken Karaage was rather boring both in the flavor of the chicken along with the Aioli style sauce for dipping…I didn’t even finish them. But when Priscilla placed the bowl of ramen in front of me…the wonderful aroma caused me to push aside the appetizer and concentrate on the ramen. The pork broth was perfectly flavored and was absolutely delicious…plus the noodles were plentiful and were perfectly cooked. The sliced Chashu (pork belly) was tender and had great flavor…if you want to add extra to this dish…add more Chashu it’s that good! Everything else in the bowl just complimented the overall dish and the soft-boiled eggs…YUM. So while the appetizer was not great, the ramen bowl was one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. Great ramen, good service, and a nice place to enjoy some ramen this winter."
"It was different. Very nice remodel of the building. Super easy to find - directly across from Dodges. Clean, neat and well staffed. They don't have Spring Rolls though. If you order a Spring Roll - it's just an egg roll with more of a vegetable inside. No Spring Rolls / fresh rolls. They do have forks. I asked for standard tableware and commented "I wasn't very good with sticks and forks were more efficient." The response was "Yeah, if you never learned how to eat with chopsticks." Sorry, I'm not a customer that will eat soup with chopsticks if there's a fork. Call me uninspired. The soup was pretty good, presentation superb and as pictured. Good job making real life look like the menu's sample picture. Service was excellent but here's another place that needs to thoughtfully consider what music they have in the dining area. If the mix or station is in a genre that is known for inappropriate lyrics or profanity - I have to withhold a star or two. Under the circumstances, I can't say it's kid-friendly. But on the positive - food was good, place clean, service excellent. The place definitely had a vibe. Just for fun - the bucket was equally off-putting. Roll Tide! If you have not been there, give them a shot."
