Tasting Room, Smyrna

"January 2024: Decided on The Tasting Room in Smyrna for dinner, walked in and Robert (owner) is there and he brings me over to Ashley who gets me seated, some water, and an Aviation cocktail. Ashley took time to review the specials for the night along with some menu changes. I started out with the Pot Stickers, a Wedge Salad, and a tasting of Duck, Pork Tenderloin, and Chicken Marsala with Potato Wedges and Honey Bourbon Carrots. I love how you can do small portions and mix them together into a wonderful meal. The Pot Stickers were tender inside and crispy on the outside. The dipping sauce a bit different than I am used to…a bit higher vinegar content but paired well with the dish. Love the Wedge Salad here…always fresh greens plus the blue cheese and vinaigrette dressing makes you want to lick the dish. The three tastings…PERFECT, PERFECT, and PERFECT. Seriously…each taste was perfectly cooked, tender, seasoned well, and absolutely delicious. IMHO…Robert makes some of the best Chicken Marsala and the duck with the BBQ sauce is a real treat. The sauces he uses with each dish, like the Raspberry and Apricot Sauce with the pork tenderloin really enhance each other. Service from Ashley was awesome, very attentive, such a beautiful smile, and took great care of me. September 2021: Folks…The Tasting Room is incredible!!! The concept here is you can either have a small taste of the different items on the menu (about two good bites) or the full meal. Add to this a solid wine list along with the expertise of a Chef who also doubles as the Sommelier. Based on the options we selected a number of tastings along with one full meal…sharing everything. Our server Laura was awesome and made sure our dishes arrived promptly after others were finished. We shared six different tastings and a full meal, five different wines, and an incredible dessert trio. Great atmosphere, incredible food, and wonderful service…a true gem of a dining experience here in Middle Tennessee!!!"

"I appreciated the ability to make a reservation online. When our plans changed, we called and were accommodated with an earlier table. The charcuterie board was AMAZING and was the perfect start to our dining experience. We ordered 5 wines with 2oz pours. We really liked being able to sample several different wines this way. We continued our "tasting" with portions of the duck, lamb, and Mahi-Mahi with sides of Brussel sprouts, carrots, and butternut squash. The food was amazing. We ended the meal with creme brulee, and it was perfect."

"This place is an absolute gem! I haven't had a dining experience this intimate and curated in a long time. The food is exquisite, the wine menu is diverse yet affordable, and the service is amazing. They make you feel like one of the family. The chef came to the table and chatted with us as well as the other tables. It would be a great spot for a date or special occasion. Having said that, I brought my 11 year old son there after a soccer tournament and he can't stop talking about how fantastic the meal was."

"Just passing through Nashville and we feel so fortunate to have found the Tasting Room! This is truly an elevated dining experience - the chef has curated a unique menu, and the small plates options are a fun way to try more of the many delicious options! We especially loved the charcuterie board for a starter, and the pork and steak were also favorites. We will be telling our friends about our experience and look forward to returning!"
