Steak 'n Shake

"Food is good and the employees were doing a good job. Friendly and helpful. The 1 star is forhaving to scan a code to get a drink. It didn't work well. Myself and everyone else had difficulty. There was a lot of people and some were confused not knowing of the code who came up and filled their cup on someone else's code who just scanned it. That person then didn't get a drink. It slows things down. No communication about it. Many people threw the code away thinking it was a QR code to download the app for marketing. Not sure I will come back."

"First time I have been to this location, did an online order 30 min after they opened, order was perfect! Cold pickles, steakburger tasted fresh, just put together. Would recommend. Only thing I wish is if the bacon had been crispier."

"Had to order from a kiosk. The computer told me to take the receipt but there wasn't one. Had to wait on my food before I could get a cup for my drink. When the food was ready, my name was announced in such a way that I did not recognize it was my name. After the fourth time it was yelled out, (oddly a microphone was right beside the screaming employee that was not used) I got up and walked to the back counter and asked if he ws saying Marc he indignantly said "yes, mersh." And he walked back into the kitchen . This was my only interaction with an employee. Fries were cold, bun was soggy, and drinks were flat. The dining area was dirty, the floor needed sweeping, and the tables needed wiping. Overall, it was a most horrible experience. I was wondering why there were only a few customers when I walked in . I now know."

"Ever since they started using kiosks, this place has lost its touch. The food costs more than it used to. The service doesn't exist at all. They even ask you to tip for not getting service. There are zero waitresses working here. We've been waiting on our two burgers and fries for thirty+ minutes. Can't be that hard when the place is as empty as it is right now"

"I use to come here all the time in high school and it’s clearly gone extremely down hill over the years. You have to place your order yourself on the kiosk then pick it up when they yell your name. The kiosk asks you to tip. Tip who? I just did everything myself. The tables were gross. I had to ask a worker to get one cleaned. We had to wait over 30 min for “fast food”. Then when we finally got our order my daughter was missing her drink and my husband was missing his entire meal. We then had to wait an additional 10 min for his meal to be made. We got our shakes and they were super melted. It might as well have been milk and Oreo. Definitely my worst steaknshake experience."
