Reviews of Joanie's Murfreesboro
"#HiddenGem!! This is a great spot for food and coffee, I also love their lemonade's (peach)and Tea's(mango peach sweet tea). I did lunch this time but I think I'll try Brunch next time. If you have a big appetite you'll love the Big Lebowski. I had the Melt with you patty melt it was a little dry it wasn't like the photo but it was still good just not gooey. They have this sauce that is sooo good I dipped my patty melt in it too.The 80's music is a hit brought back a lot of memories!"
"This was very hard for me to muster up the energy to write this review. But I felt it was my duty as a reviewer to write something. I don’t want to harm the reputation of this establishment that seems to be enjoyed by its community. But I would like them to try to be better so I’m going to say that the location clearly has character. It looks as though they are trying to develop some sort of theme and culture, from the music they play to the decorations they use and I will definitely give them credit for that, but that’s where it ends. The service was not very helpful or friendly, the food was not noteworthy, and the bathrooms were dirty. I got a crape that looked beautiful and was definitely edible but it was not very good at all. I’ve had many crapes from different places over the years both sweet and savory and this one doesn’t even come close to one of my favorites. It was dry, spongy, and flavorless, above all it wasn’t even filled. There was just a bit of weak drizzle on top that was clearly there for presentation alone. It was so lackluster and downright depressing that we actually couldn’t finish it even though my wife and I were sharing one crepe, so yeah. And I know I went there later in the day but the bathrooms were filthy. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that the bathroom is a very important part of the experience. It’s usually where you begin or end your interaction with the establishment so it’s important and if it’s bad enough, I’ll mention it. All that to say, it reminded me a lot more of a gas station bathroom not something you’d find in a fine café. My wife didn’t feel comfortable and even had to do some cleanup before she could use it. On top of all that it was pretty over priced for the quality. Again, this is not the worst café you will ever come to, but it is most certainly not the best and they could do a lot better, so they should."
"Food was great although I wish they had more combo options instead of having to buy everything separately. Other than that, food was pretty good."
"My family went here while on vacation. There were so many options that sounded good. We got 3 different meals and all tasted each others. The meals were all delicious but our favorite was the savory crepe. I don’t remember the name of it but will attach photos. We all agree that this place was in our top two of all the places we ate throughout the 7 states we traveled through, & we ate at a lot of places. It is self seating, you go to the main counter to order & back to the counter if you need a refill or anything so their staff isn’t servers per say, as in they don’t come to the table often to ask if you need anything - that didn’t bother us at all, I just wanted to state that so anyone reading would know what to expect. I HIGHLY recommend going here if you’re looking for a good breakfast spot in this area!"
