"Nick has a special thing going at Mangia!! The food and fun are superb!! It truly is an experience. This is one of our favorite places in Nashville. You have a 10 course meal that lets you take home your leftovers. Enough for 2 more meals!!! Awesome place."

"Beware of the wine they serve. We ordered a $90 Barolo 2016 and they opened a bottle of 2019. First off, they would not allow for a price differential. our waitress said that the supplier charges them the same price… I doubt it… she was very forceful in saying that everybody there is like a family, including the customers, and we would never be cheated… I’d love to know how many people she tells that to. We were very suspicious that they opened it before it came to the table! Adding insult to injury, they don’t even have wine glasses… They have 4 ounce thick cylinder children’s glasses that they serve wine in! It was not a Barolo and it was actually sour! (The bartender agreed) We then ordered a bottle of Coppola Zinfandel. They again open the bottle before it arrived at the table. We told the waitress that they should not open up a bottle of wine in the kitchen… She said That they are not allowed to open the wine! Again it was NOT a Zinfandel. None of us had more than a sip, and my girlfriend said she would take it home and use it in a stew recipe. The atmosphere is meager at best. They have a couple of small TVs running the Godfather movie. No music most of the evening and then they had 4-5 songs that we danced to. The food was abundant, but lacked authenticity. The owner got up and talked about his Italian heritage on Staten Island and how every holiday was centered around food. I think his Nona would be gravely disappointed in his interpretation of her cooking. We’re from New York and my husband‘s family is Italian. We know good Italian food. Last, but not least, they add the gratuity to the bill. How dare they add a 30% tip to not only the unauthentic mediocre food but also the horrible wine. The waitress said it was a 20% tip!?!? We showed her she was wrong on our cell phone calculators… It meant nothing. How does it go from “we are ALL family” to our waitress saying “I can’t control the receipt, I only work here”. Clearly the place is based on cheating the customer. The waitress had an answer for everything. Our bill was over $300 for two people!!!!!"

"This was the closest to Italian in Nashville that we have found. Moved from DC recently and had been searching for an Italian restaurant. It was amazing."

"4⭐️ - definitely an experience It was one for the books! The service, atmosphere and concept were definitely 5 stars! A little expensive for a regular night out BUT worth it to indulge once in a while. The owner and his staff were the best. There was so much food that by the time you got to the main course, you can’t really taste give all of it justice.Grateful for to go boxes at this point."
