"Spoiler alert: From all the fine dining experiences I've had, Audrey was the most lackluster and overhyped. They might as well rename the place 'The Taste of Salt' because that's all we could discern from the food—bite after bite, it was pure salt overload. They seem quite proud of their chicken dumplings, supposedly a cherished family recipe from the owner's mom, but I wouldn't want to encounter that dish again, even if it were complimentary. Despite claims of truffle mushrooms, all I could detect was a mere sprinkle of chicken drowned in salt. Let's delve into the 'special Feast' option we opted for. The appetizer, Cherokee White Eagle Cornbread, proved to be the highlight of the entire evening, followed by some mediocre ham and preserved 'lab' bits. What's the point of experimentation if everything ends up excessively salted? Then came a humble salad, hardly enough to share between two adults. The infamous dumplings, as I mentioned, were a complete disappointment. However, the grits redeemed the meal somewhat—they were actually quite enjoyable. As for dessert, my partner, who rarely passes on sweets, couldn't even bring herself to finish the citrus cake. The citrus wasn't crisp enough, and the overall experience left much to be desired. To make matters worse, it was Valentine's Day, and as food enthusiasts, we were utterly let down. My partner felt so overwhelmed by the salt content that she could barely walk afterward. I felt like I failed her, and to add insult to injury, upon checking my credit card statement, I discovered we'd been overcharged. Perhaps it was an honest mistake, but it's just another chapter in our unforgettable experience at this 'lovely' establishment. I'll give it two stars for the decent grits and the cool paintings on the wall."
"Audrey was a one of a kind dining experience. I was thoroughly impressed with their perfectly curated menu. Each plate is uniquely woven into a story about award winning chef, Sean Brock, and his lifelong passion for culinary arts. While dining you can view every course being carefully prepared in the open kitchen, making it a focal point of the evening and bringing an appreciation to the fine art. After a delectable meal with perfectly paired drinks, I enjoyed after dinner cocktails in the upstairs bar. The bar provided an equally unique experience with the option to pick a seasonal fruit as the central element of your personalized cocktail. This tops all Nashville restaurants I’ve visited by far. I felt like a piece of NYC’s fine dining scene finally landed in Music City. The food, service and atmosphere were phenomenal!"
"Audrey was one of more unique dining experiences I’ve ever had. Sean Brock has created an elegant atmosphere and the chefs have designed dishes packed with changing flavors, wrapped in an artistic package. There were 7-8 courses, with a wine paring option. Every course had its own unique experience, flavor, and story around its inspiration. The open kitchen, hanging flowers/herbs, and art made the restaurant feel like home and a museum simultaneously. I can’t imagine someone showing up here and unimpressed or leaving without a smile on their face. My wife and I will definitely be returning to experience a new set of flavors and art. Thank you for the dining experience Audrey!!"
"Had an awesome experience at Audrey celebrating my wife’s birthday. The cocktails were very well thought out and we enjoyed the extensive wine list. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I highly recommend the grits and topping it with the caviar. The ambiance was fantastic and loved having the open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!"
"We did the feast and it was great. I would recommend to upgrade: 1. The steak to wagyu 2. Wine pairing. The wine pairing was very nicely done. Great explanation and good choice of wine from differents areas and countries. The food were all very done and there is a lot of work and research here. A lot of flavor. The corn bread was delicious. I loves this restaurant!"
