"I had the most mediocre dining experience in Nashville at Bartaco East Nashville. To give you some context, I understand that it's not an authentic taco truck or Mexican food restaurant and that's okay. But cmon you sell tacos. The place has a nice ambiance, good decor, and a pleasant vibe, which are its only redeeming qualities. One of my main issues is the ordering system. Whether you dine in or use a delivery app like Uber Eats, you're required to order and pay through your phone, minimizing interaction with the staff. Yet, they still expect tips well above 15%. A message to the owners: people enjoy human interaction. It can even encourage more spending. So, why adopt a system that feels neither technologically advanced nor user-friendly? Regarding the food, the tacos are overpriced and underwhelming. They're neither gourmet nor the 'amuse-bouche' style they seem to aspire to; they're just disappointing imitations of standard tacos. The salsas are reminiscent of Taco Bell's, which is fine for a fast-food chain but not here. A glaring detail was receiving the top peel of a lime with my taco, a misstep not even the most basic taquerias make. Some might suggest trying other items. We did try a bowl, but it was bland and unremarkable. Frankly, Chipotle offers better quality in that regard. As for the margaritas, despite being made with real lime, they're not fresh. The use of cheap tequila doesn't justify the $14 price tag. Bartaco East Nashville was disappointing from start to finish."
"The food here is amazing! I've been there for lunch several times and have never been disappointed. Situated in the trendy Five Points neighborhood of Nashville, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly."
"The food was very fresh and good. I always prefer places like this to relax. Everybody that worked there were so friendly."
"This place was amazing! The managers were wonderful and so friendly. Our dog was able to hang out on the patio and they were extremely kind to him. The birria duck appetizer was insanely delicious. The salsa is clearly fresh and has a very unique and wonderful flavor. The tacos (pork belly, fried clay, fish, and tuna) were all delightful. Also, the margaritas were fresh and wonderful. We aren't from here, but we have saved this place to come back any time we are in or near Nashville."
"We were excited to check this place out because it was highly recommended by the locals. I noticed they had happy hour & I made sure we went specially for that. Unfortunately Happy Hour only applies if you sit at Bar. There were 5 of us & it just couldn’t to fit us all at the bar, on barstools. This caveat makes it really hard to enjoy happy hour here. Ordering at this place was not user friendly if you’ve never been here before. You order from a QR code. Easy for the younger generation but not for my parents generation. We started out with the trio chips & salsa. The chips come out as 6 or 7 full sized corn tortillas. Nothing was broken so you just have to break the chips up yourself. Such a weird concept that none is us enjoyed. The guac & Roja salsa were the group favorite from the trio. The Glazed pork belly taco was the best taco! It has a crusted glaze that everyone liked. Spiced chicken verde was good but not too spicy. Sesame ribeye was good, we added pineapple habanero sauce to this. Half the group reply like this pineapple habanero sauce. I had a mushroom with queso fresco & it was a little spicy for me. I don’t do spice well though. Cauliflower taco was good, I ordered it without spicy sauce. I ordered esquires as well, which is essentially Mexican street corn off the cob. This was my favorite part of the meal. Rough review because the food was good, but the happy hour limitations & ordering on our phone was a disappointment."
