Applebee's Grill + Bar 718 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204

"When we arrived the hostess came over with a scowl and simply said, "how many". No welcome, no smile. When she seated us I said, "thank you" and she just walked away. It took another 15 minutes for someone to come and get our drink order and, at that time, we were told that their computers went down but they should be up soon and she would come back to take our food order. After another 10 minutes, the waitress came back and said she would just write it down. Shouldn't that happen right away if computers go down? It took about 20 minutes for our food to come out, which is fine. I ordered the baby back ribs and they were horrible. Way over cooked (burnt actually). In my experience, baby back ribs fall off the bone; I could barely cut through them with a knife. By the time our waitress came back, my husband had finished his meal and I was not going to wait to get a different dish. Then, it took another 20 minutes or so to get our bill (again, because the computers were still down). I would have understood the issues if this place was busy but there were literally 2 people sitting at the bar and 6 tables with customers. The 3 people (besides the hostess) working the front of the house spent a lot of time chatting by the bar. The hostess was standing at the door turning people away. Seems this place needs a backup plan for what to do if the computers go down. I gave 2 stars because my husband's food was good and they, at least, offered me a different meal."

"Visited few days back for lunch and had freshly served food . We had ordered some chicken n shrimp (both were tender) . We noticed only one person was serving around all the tables which eventually lead to the late arrival of our food . Nevertheless we thoroughly enjoyed our food ."

"This place is hilarious & if it wasn’t for me having a free gift card I would not be here especially after hearing all the other bad reviews previous to me. It’s always empty in the lot & now I see how empty it is inside. The food isn’t good, the fries are the worse ever & to add to that they told us that we were probably too late to order. We arrived about 11:33, they close at 12 & before seating us they went to ask if we were too late. The bartender saw us & hollered out last call. I asked the host that if the kitchen is closing & the bar is saying last call what are people to do seeing as though they don’t close until 12 & she just shrugged her shoulders. The waiter then told us she has to see if she can place our order because the kitchen is supposed to close at 11:30. Goodness gracious I see why they fell off the map. They should have stayed gone & have space to someone else to make an appearance. The waiter tried her best to do all she could which was appreciated & I know it has to suck to work in an environment like this. Food doesn’t even match the menu. The appetizer of boneless wings were so cold the sauce just sat stiff on them lol & Oh & to top it off we only got 2 single forks to eat with chicken instead of a set but I guess we were too late to get the works."

"We visited Applebee's by 100 Oaks for a late lunch and really enjoyed our meal. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and my mom got the Prime Rib Dipper. My husband ordered the Broccoli Chicken Pasta Alfredo and had dove into it and demolished it so quickly I couldn't even get a pic of it. He is a really picky eater and the measure of a good meal for him, is if he eats it, finishes it, and how quickly it is eaten! So for him, that meal was a five stars, as he was practically licking the plate afterwards! Our server was very polite and efficient and our food was delicious! The only drawback we had were rude individuals in the parking lot nearly running us over...but that was just people inhabiting Nashville these days...not the restaurant! It's been quite a while since I visited an Applebee's, but they had a great variety on their menu and we will definitely eat there again, when visiting the 100 Oaks area! Bon' Appetite Y'all!"
