Star Light Cafe for Gaylord Employees 2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214

"A manager/ supervisor needs to make sure the staff is truly seriously implementing the food safety handling procedures. Yesterday, 03-06-24 I worked an event at the Gaylord and was so excited about eating at the cafe that a co-worker showed me the day before. It's a stuffed away hidden "gem" away from the hustle bustle. You can't beat the pricing, especially at a huge hotel as the Gaylord. I ate on my lunch break around 2:00 pm with another lady. I had the pizza, chicken sandwich, potatoe salad, salad/beets, and a banana. Some items I was keeping to snack on later. I noticed I started mild cramping, literally 20 mins from eating. It's wasn't as bad, so I thought, and I drank some mint tea. By the time I left work at 5 pm. and was on my second bus to get home, I was bent over in some serious pain. I literally (TMI) threw up everything when I got off the bus. I stumbled to my place and the whole night throwing up everything. Running hot & cold, cramps and pain. I was on so much pain that I slept on a pillow on the floor. I will NEVER eat there again. It was a few of us staff that ate there that day as well. Hopefully, they are ok. Food safety : a clean kitchen, changing your gloves, checking the temperature of the food and hygiene, checking food consumption dates, and making sure there's no contamination are VERY important. Becareful with eating at this cafe. You are gambling with your health. It can be a hit one day & miss the next. You never know. I don't want to find out again."
