"Coffee was very good. The atmosphere was nice. The gnome is so cute. Breakfast was good and very good portions. Good vibe great experience."
"Delicious food and great drinks. The atmosphere is very chill and cozy. And the bagels!! Their Everything bagel is the most delicious bagel I have ever had, I went back and bought some more to take back home after our trip."
"The vegan coconut chocolate scone was excellent. My friend had the rosemary biscuit and she said the rosemary flavor was noticeable and quite delicious. I haven’t lived in the Village in years and it’s nice to see the revitalization."
"It’s nice to finally have a business in this building that feels like it’s here for the long haul. Every time I come here it’s packed out. Whether that is due to the food or ambiance I do not know but both are great. I’ll be sure to visit time and time again to ensure they stay solvent. I hope everyone else who live in the area does the same."
"I recently visited Dose in Old Hickory Village for my morning cappuccino and scone. The cinnamon scone was wonderful and the cappuccino was good but had a slightly sour aftertaste. I thought maybe it was the milk so I ordered a cup of regular coffee and discovered it was the coffee. I’ve never had Counter Culture but, to me, it tasted like someone added a lemon peel to a pour over. It wasn’t at all bad but different. My wife and I own a roastery in Ky and I have been roasting coffee in a 30 kilo Ambex for the past 12 years. I have cupped an ocean of coffee but this was not like anything I’d tasted before. Far better than the bitter undrinkable popular National chain but not as smooth as I’m accustomed too. The service was good and Zion the Barista was excellent. In summary, I love the Village Vibe and the scone but coffee-wise, I would prefer a smoother locally roasted coffee. I will be back."
