Reviews of The Children's Place
"My son is 11 and our family has bought from Children's Place his entire life. The quality of the clothing is exceptional! Placing an online order to your home is seamless. HOWEVER, I placed a order to be shipped to the store "to save money". I got a simple notification that my package(s) had arrived to the store via text message. I planned to go pick them up but got a stomach bug, I referenced to the text and it did not include a pickup by date. Today I was filling better and planned to head to the store to pickup my 2 packages, but before heading out I checked my bank account. THEN LEARNED that CHILDREN"S PLACE decided to cancel my order and REFUND MY MONEY!!! NEVER received a Courtesy phone call, that if your online order was not picked up in the store BY **, it would be returned/refunded. NOPE! I got my notification from MY BANK! SO I thought surely this is a misunderstanding. SO I call the toll free number, and spoke with two gentleman ARIEL that repeated himself over and over. He basically offered no resolutions. SO then I requested to speak with a manager and was transferred to JESS and was unable to resolve my problems and assure me that they had properly communicated of the cancelation. I requested for the email that there system canceled to RESEND it to me! SO he couldn't find that SO he typed up one AND IT WAS ONLY FOR ONE OF THE TWO orders. THEN I asked him for the email of the SECOND order and HE THEN proceeded to ask me to VERIFY MY INFORMATION. I told HIM NO - he is a manager and SHOULD have access to see the entire ORDER! He offered NO RESOLUTION other than NO PROMOS are going on now. ALLL of The Children's Place Cash I used on the order "I JUST LOST THEM." SOOOOO - before the call was over I WAS able TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ** They communicated the in-store package information to MY OLD EMAIL THAT WAS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE ONLINE ORDER AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously there is a TECHNICAL / SOFTWARE Issued far greater than a MANAGER WOULD opening admit to. BUT would have the CUSTOMER ON THE PHONE CALLING TO IDENTIFY THIS!!! I AM SPEECHLESS - and MAD - this order was too include my sons EASTER OUTFIT!! HE picked out and excited about BUT NOPE! I lost my job in JULY of last year and still haven't find one (I have applied endlessly)! I sure NEEDED the CASH. I don't work for Children's Place - sure sounds like you need EMPLOYEES that CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER RETION! I am also send this information via corporate email as well, to assure OTHER CUSTOMERS don't have this experience!!! 02.20.2024 - I have never heard from CORPORATE at all! This must be how they just do business."
"I would have to disagree with some of the negative post. Shoppers are so rude and disrespectful. Shoppers allow their children to rip and run through the store knocking clothing onto the floor while they themselves leave shelves out of order. Some shoppers pick up multiple items and just toss it back not even attempting to fold and return it to its proper spot. The employees are attempting to keep up with multiple shoppers of the same mindset, which lets face it is impossible, so the store looks like a bomb went off. I'll never understand how people can have such little respect for others and themselves. I mean wouldn't you want the place you frequent to be nice? In short, it's the public making this store less than desirable to shop in."
"Walked in the store and I saw the worker leaning over some clothes and looking at her phone. To me it's no biggie, but I would expect her to stand up straight and say welcome, if we need help, etc. But she looked up and then back down with no greeting. I suppose this is the norm here in Memphis at least. As far as the clothing, what's with all the glitter over the shirts? Our water system is already filled with enough microplastics. My daughter doesn't like glitter in her eyes. I don't know why I stop in and look. I know this isn't a new concept with the glitter, but come on, we need to be more co conscious. Who makes the decision to add glitter to clothes? Ya and I know, just go somewhere else, sure. It still is terrible and more people should open their eyes. And workers everywhere, please greet your customers and get off the phone while working. Gezz."
"I have to disagree with most of the reviews. Over the last 6 months I have had very positive experiences in this store. Usually I order online and have items shipped but on occasion the item is not available online and I can only get it in the store. On those occasions I have found the store to be well organized and clean. It is not like the Oak Court Memphis store which is crowded with merchandise, very narrow aisles, items piled on top of one another, and checkout counter overflowing with "stuff." The sales associates at Wolfchase have been friendly, helpful and personable. On two other occasions I shopped in the store in the clearance section. The sales associate took time to see if items I was interested in were at another store or could be found online. She was quite willing to stop what she was doing to check prices for clearance items since there was not a chart to show the 60% off. I recently called to have an item held and the sales associate was very friendly. I ended up not getting the item and when I called to put the item back in stock the the associate thanked me for calling. I have returned items with no questions asked. The associates have also assisted me with using rewards and coupons. I would drive out of my way to go to this store over the Oak Court store."
