"This location of Red Bicycle Coffee & Crepes is bright and sunny, and is within a short walk of several neighborhoods on the east side of Franklin. The dining area is large and there are plenty of tables as well as bar seating along one of the tall, plate glass windows near the entrance. The shop has lots of windows on three sides which keeps it bright and offers views of a small wooded area beside the building. It has a modern coffee shop aesthetic. Clean lines. Minimalist decor. The coffee shop is kid/family friendly. I noticed some high chairs at the front for the littles. And there’s a small couch and coffee table at the front, as well as the aforementioned bar seating along one of the windows. Due to the abundance of hard surfaces (concrete floor, plate glass walls, high metal ceiling) the dining area is a bit loud, and the reverb from the chatter of voices and the piped in music made it sound noisier than it was. This is a Counter Service coffee shop; however, they will bring your order to your table. Menus are available on the wall to the right of the register as well as at the register. They have one small couch and coffee table at the front, it would be great if they added another little area like this at the back of the coffee shop. It’s certainly large enough to accommodate it. It would also be great if they added some outdoor seating on the patio behind the building. That might be coming with warm weather? They offer a wide variety of crepe and drink options. I ordered The Sunrise, which was scrambled eggs, cheese and my choice of protein. I went with bacon. It was a good, but I should have ordered a side of sour cream or cilantro lime crèam sauce. My crepe was served with no sides, which was fine because it was very large. I don’t think I could have eaten anything else. My wife ordered The Mexi which was served with a cilantro lime crème sauce on it and a side of salsa. Hers was very good and definitely benefited from the sauce. The coffee was good. It tasted like a medium or light roast. I forgot to ask. We ordered medium drip coffees, and since we were dining in, we requested mugs. The default here is to serve everything in a paper to-go cup, whether you’re dining in or ordering to-go. *Please note that they only have 12oz ceramic coffee cups for now. I don't know how they handle this if you order anything larger than that. Overall it was a positive experience. Will I be back? Yes, I will. *Update* I have been back a couple of times since writing this review and they have definitely worked out the kinks since opening this new location. It’s a local coffee shop and I want them to succeed. I would definitely recommend a visit to this place."
"Came here to get some work done and was very busy when I first got here around 10:30, the crowd had died down by 12:30 though and it was wonderfully peaceful! Great food and great drinks, super friendly staff. Loved the location in Murfreesboro and happy to see it in Franklin now too"
"We had a pretty good experience at this location. Service was not bad, but not great. No smiles or glad you’re here, more of a “hurry up and order” attitude. You have to ask for coffee mugs if you’re dining in, otherwise you get paper cups. The menus are also right in front of the register, so if there’s a line you have to ask someone in line to pass a menu over. They may want to put menus on the side of the counter or a QR code or something for patrons to view. We each ordered a savory crepe. I ordered the Mexi and my husband ordered the Sunrise. The Mexi came with a delicious cilantro cream sauce and salsa on the side and was very tasty. The crepes themselves are huge, you will not leave hungry! The Sunrise came with no sauce so I gave my husband my salsa for his. He said it was otherwise dry. You may want to order sauce on the side if you get the Sunrise. The ambience is a bit lacking. Very suburban strip-mall feel to it, which is exactly what it is. On a plus side, the drip coffee was delicious! There’s also plenty of seating if you want to eat in. It’s very convenient to a lot of residential areas in east Franklin, so the location is great. We will definitely be back, the sweet crepes looked delicious and there’s a wide variety of food options. I did ask, and all menu items are available all day. I’m posting a picture of the back side of the menu as someone has already posted the front. I don’t have the coffee menu, but there’s a wide variety of coffee and espresso options to choose from. The location has only been open a short time, so I’m sure they are still working out the kinks. I would suggest they consult with an acoustical engineer to dampen some of the echo inside. Overall, we had a good experience and will definitely be back."
