"Wish I had read the reviews before I wasted $24. I don't know how they call this smoked or bbq????? Just because you throw bbq sauce on it doesn't make it bbq. The meat was barely warm. No smoke taste at all. The minute I opened my box I got that gut feeling it was going to be bad. The potato salad tasted like reesers. Baked beans seemed like jazzed up van camp beans. I've had better bbq from a truck stop. Very dissatisfied and will definitely not be back."

"Despite the negative reviews, I went in with an open mind. The young lady at the counter was friendly and attentive. The lady with the purple hair that people talk about in the reviews was in the kitchen so I didn’t get to interact with her. I ordered the sampler plate [ribs, pork, brisket] with potato salad and beans for the two sides. The Good: To my surprise, the beans were tasty. The ribs had the most flavor of the three meats. The potato salad was ok. The Bad: Other than the ribs, the meat was bland without much flavor. The brisket was slightly peppered but had no smoky flavor at all. The pork was worse with no seasoning and no bbq smoky flavor. The potato salad was ok but about a third of it was frozen so I stopped eating it and threw the frozen chunk away (see photo). The brisket was rubbery and chewy. None of the meat was hot when it was served to me. It was room temp or just slightly above that. I asked for sweet bbq sauce and that was on my receipt but I got hot bbq sauce instead. The coleslaw was not good at all. I didn’t order that but they gave it to me so I tasted it. Bottom Line: I don’t think I’d return here again. There’s a sign up in the front that calls this “Memphis BBQ.” I assume that better bbq is available in the area but this doesn’t live up to the hype at all. This may be the worst bbq I’ve ever had. This seems like a parody of a bbq place. So little concern is shown to the taste and quality of the food that I found myself hoping that at least they prepared and handled the food safely."

"Well, I read the reviews must be from the locals. Food is tasty but the atmosphere wasn't to my taste. But as far as me returning or recommending it's a NO. MAINLY THE ATTITUDE OF PURPLE HAIR IS THE REASON .The cashier (with purple hair) is distasteful, unknowable of menu items and act as if the questions was bothering her. She even went on to take the order of next customer before finishing mine. When a customer is asking about ingredients of food act like you care. Another worker, which seems to be on break, assisted better, it was only because of her inviting spirit that I continued my purchase here. And then the portion size for the sides is not worth the price. I spent $28 and barely got 4 bites each of the sides, the not made in restaurant ;taste like Kroger sides from deli foods. Ribs was the best thing I will give that credit."
