Jones Chevrolet Humboldt

"I bought a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee back last year. I traded my Volkswagen. Got a decent amount for my trade-in no problem there. Here is where I am unsatisfied. Hunter and Dylan are the ones I dealt with. The day I picked up my vehicle, Hunter told me they would give me an extra key and they would order it. I kept calling and calling and texting Hunter about this. I kept getting the running around and he kept saying it was ordered and service should call. Same thing every time. I still have the texts and can prove this. Months went by and I finally got fed up and went up there and talked with the manager and Dylan and no one had any idea about the key that was supposed to be ordered for me. He had been pushing me off and I assume stringing me along. The key was not ordered. I was very upset to say the least due to the amount of dishonesty that was going on. I also mentioned that when I bought the Jeep, the back windshield wiper was broken. The end piece was broken off and I could not put a wiper on there. I did tell them if every vehicle went through a thorough inspection they should have found this broken back windshield wiper. The manager assured me they would fix it and get my key ordered. I left. Mind you this has been a few months ago already. No key and no windshield wiper as of March 4. I called the Jeep Dealership today and they can have me a key in 5 days and wiper in 2 days. Now why is taking so long and supposedly on back order from Jones Chevrolet from Dodge in Humboldt tn. I just called Jones about this today and Dylan again, asked me if I had heard from their service department, once again they were supposed to call me and didn't. I definitely regret buying a vehicle at this dealership. I would warn you if you are buying used, buy with Golden Circle Ford. I should have waited. The honesty and integrity at Jones is just not there. This is my honest and 100% truth of the events that have taken place with Jones Chevrolet since I purchased this Jeep Grand Cherokee from them. I am soooo disappointed in how they have pushed me to the side, neglected their verbal agreements, and I still don't have the Lojack on my vehicle that I paid for (made me buy in my contract) because they didn't activate it (another whole story) and tires (another story). Find a better dealership that appreciates their customers and will not lie to you. I wish I would have went back to Golden Circle Ford in Jackson, TN. They were the best to work with and honest. I bought my Volkswagen there. Bad decision on my part. Never again!!!!!! Buyer beware, be cautious. I really don't think this Jeep went through much inspection either. If you want a vehicle that is inspected 100%, go somewhere else. I am just so upset about this whole situation. To the salesman Hunter, thanks for your dishonesty, made me decide NEVER to come back to Jones Chevrolet for anything! I will report this business to BBB too. I did not want to have to do this and gave you all numerous months to fix this and you all did not seem to care. I have been way way patient and gave you all plenty of time to fix these issues. I hope this saves someone else months of issues and stress. Look for my 3/6/24 UPDATE More to the story on Lojack that they make you buy. DO NOT let them you con you into purchasing this in your contract. Thank you Tessa for helping me with that. You do not have to purchase this. Fight them over this."

"I have called multiple times and been told the manager would give me a call back still haven’t heard anything. The woman who sold me my truck said she didn’t know how to open the tailgate come to find out the tailgate button is not working and I called and got no reply from the manager but the service department said we could use my extended warranty to fix it this was 2 days after I bought the truck. All I can say is the sales people seem to be great the 2 times I’ve bought here but the dealership as a whole is pretty terrible seeing how they cannot even respond to their customers. By the way they will offer you about 10-15k lower than the trade in value of your vehicle but if you walk out or provide paperwork from other dealerships that have offered you then will go up way closer to what you want Edit: Nothing was fixed with the low offers, my truck is finally fixed. Megan was great at making sure my truck was taken care of and I was as satisfied as I could possibly be with having to deal with this issue with just purchasing my truck. The service department took a while to get it fixed but that’s not their fault they didn’t have the parts or then was sent the wrong parts but the service manager sent someone almost an hour away to be sure my truck got fixed today. Service department is good and the service manager made sure I was in the loop of what was going on and that to me means the service department cares about the customer employees here are great I’ve had no issues with them and I can’t be happier now that everything is fixed and thank you again to Megan for making sure they were on top of it for me."

"Overall disappointing experience with this particular dealer. I recently purchased a used 2023 Yukon from this dealer. I had a few issues that I think prospective buyers should be aware of. They didn’t honor the agreed trade price discussed over the phone. I got two key fobs, but one did not work and that cost $170 to reprogram at my local dealer. The vehicle is missing a badge that they were going send me to replace, but never sent to me. I was told I had to purchase LoJack for the vehicle, but it wasn’t installed, so another $500 out. Probably the most frustrating portion was how vague they were with financing options and pushy they were with their dealer warranties. Be prepared to tack another $1k on to whatever price you see, because they absolutely would not let me get the car without some of their extras. The vehicle itself has been great. It has some surface rust on the frame I’m going to have to get treated, but I don’t think anyone realized it before I bought it. I didn’t see it until I got home, that’s my fault. Honestly, I probably should have walked from the deal, and I’ll admit, that’s obviously 100% on me. I had driven from out of state, and I did not want to leave and restart the whole car buying process. They knew they had me, and this will absolutely be the last time I buy a car from out of state. I contacted the dealer a couple times about the issues, but never got anywhere. I will say the staff were very nice and personable during the purchase, but have basically ignored me as soon as I left the lot."

"The people at Jones Chevrolet are extremely friendly and helpful. I have but one confusing item that I'm unsure of and that is the Forever Warrenty that I took out. As I understood it, it covered the engine and drive train of the car. So when I asked if the water pump was covered (which is part of the engine) one salesman told me yes it was while another told me no it wasn't. If an item on an engine is faulty and could cause the whole collapse of the engine and drive train why would it not be covered."
