Reviews of Rough Country
"Ordered a led light bar for my truck. EVERYTHING on the website promotes "made in the usa". They don't even show where the item I ordered was made on the item description. Now I see why. The light bar is made in China. Wow. I went thru the extra effort to find something American made and it is still not. Very disappointed."
"BUYER BEWARE! Got a 2 inch lift for Christmas from my husband, he’s a mechanic so we put the lift on ourselves. From the start, rough country sent a box with 1 front & 1 rear lift, a few days later the complete lift showed up in one box… first red flag. Got the put on, ruined my jeep. Front end sits higher then rear, lots of noises in reverse, get on the gas and the whole jeep wobbles & sounds like you’re driving over rumble strips. Husband emailed rough country about the issue & they just quit responding. Called rough country a few days later only to experience the WORST customer service. The guy didn’t care to help figure out the issue, instead he wanted to sound like somebody he isn’t. I do have the video recorded of the phone call but for legal reasons I cannot post that. All of this being said I decided to remove the lift and send it back for a refund. 2 alignments later (rough country won’t help pay for) they did little to nothing to help solve our issue. We both use to look up to this company and planned on being lifelong customers as we have many trucks that need lifts & full on planned on using rough country. Never again, I only came on here to warn people not to buy from this company. Their parts will DESTROY your vehicle & when you call them for answers a guy will talk to you like your stupid & not help with anything. You will be disappointed if you use rough country."
"Lift broke, rough country warrantied the part on the lift that broke but when we filed a claim for the damages caused by the lift failing they now say the lift didn’t cause the damage and now we’re out a couple thousand dollars in repairs because a part failed. This will be the last lifted vehicle we ever own. Once it’s put back together it’s being sold and anyone who asks will know how horrible RC was to deal with."
"Well where to start. I own a 2016 Ford f-150 4x4. I have the RC front bumper, RC back bumper, RC suspension, Wheels and tires bought from RC, bed cover bought from RC, and seat covers bought from RC. So the reason im saying this is to help you understand I have been a loyal customer of RC for many years and I beleived in the brand. So I started having some problems quite a while ago with my front bumper. It appears it wasnt prepped correctly before it was powder coated. It started showing little rust circles and as times goes on more and more are appearing as I will show in pictures. The back bumper and everything else I have purchased is wearing just fine. I get comments on my truck all the time. "Nice truck but its a shame about that front bumper." I contacted Rough country about my problem. I explained I needed help to understand how to fix my bumper. Powder coating it again would cost about as much as it would to replace the whole thing so what can I do? Well I waited a few days and finally got this responce. "There is a textured paint offered by rustoleum that matches our powder coat." Thats is all I got. I honestly expected more. I have Thousands of dollars of Rough country parts and I get one little line? Thats no help at all. Im sorry Rough Country but to me thats unacceptable. Update: I contacted them again and they totally let me down and dont care about my business. I have given them my last dollar."
"I love my Rough County parts. I have always received high quality parts. My 2020 jeep truck have the steps, bed cover, and those nice small light. So when I got my new 2023 jeep truck this is the 1st place I went shopping. The bed cover was perfect. The steps.... not so well. While the welds look like they will hold up, they are sloppy. I posted pictures so you can see for yourself. I have no plans to send them back unless the weld fails. I can't keep crawling in to my jeep ."
