Reviews of Southeast Metropolitan Park Primitive Trail
"Great hike but its not kept up with. Definitely not for kids. Not stroller friendly. Adults only and get ready to get stickers all over your clothes."
"We went on a hike here on a Saturday morning. There is a trailhead in the back of the park. The path is pretty well shaded and is a pretty easy hike. We went past a couple of ponds that looked like people use them for fishing. I don’t know how far the path goes, we hiked for 30 minutes before turning around and hiking 30 minutes back. There are signs to look out for snakes and we wore lots of bug spray and sunscreen."
"Nice hike today and the weather was great. There was a bridge under construction and we crossed a small dry creek walking across boards but it was fairly safe."
"Great Place! Nice morning hike. The trail takes about an hour and twenty minutes at a leisurely pace. A couple of the bridges look sketchy but at 230 pounds, they were fine. Weather was 87 degrees and partly cloudy. I would recommend bringing a water bottle with you to be safe."
"Another totally hidden beautiful hiking trail of Austin. I had so much fun exploring this wonderful place. Real pretty and incredible scenic view. I went couple times and this place never gets old. City maintains the place pretty well considering how hidden the place is. I loved it every minute of it and recommend everyone to go visit there"
