"Really great dog area, but can not emphasize enough that it is not 100% fenced. The gate to exit to the rest of the park is connected to an incomplete fence, you just go 10 feet to the side of the gate and there's a clear path that exits to the larger unfenced park. Also, the river is one border of the dog area and if your dog would swim across it they're in the unfenced area. I used a long 40 foot leash and that worked totally well. Bottom line - if you wouldn't let your dog off leash in an unfenced area, don't let them off leash here! Super fun area though, well maintained and interesting for the dogs. Also -- inspect for ticks! Even though it's November I still found one on my dog."

"Love coming here! People and dogs are friendly and considerate. Swimming for dogs, several little off-shoot trails, approximately one mile loop for main trail. Easy terrain, lovely area."
"This was our first time here after buying the yearly membership for the county parks. We had been to a couple others but this one was the best by far! The dogs loved playing in the water and the trail around it was pleasant and not too muddy. We live in the city so this is such a nice change for our dogs. We will be back!"
