"The parking lot next to the entrance is fenced off. Nowhere to park now at this end, can try opposite end and park in that neighborhood. The whole side of trails by the research center is fenced off--you can only access the straight out-and-back crushed rock nature path now ☹️"
"This park is part of the UT Science Research campus. Much of the land in the whole area has been sold off to the new developments. Rumor was that UT planed to move this campus downtown. They may be fazing out and don't see themselves as providing a park for the new developments in the area. Years ago it was kept up pretty well. The restroom building as even unlocked, maintained and cleaned, field maintained etc."
"Really nice trail that I ride my bike through sometimes. It does need some TLC though. The signs have fallen off the post and are just propped up. Also, lots of the dirt on the path has been washed away. It's been like this for a long time though. Not sure who owns or maintains the trail but it's definitely overdue some general maintenance"
"If you are looking for solitude, this is the trail to walk. It was actually constructed for Northside ISD children and there are learning posts throughout the trail. (Bird species, water cycle, etc) It seems somewhat abandoned due to the pandemic. There is no public parking, even though there is a pavilion adjacent to it. I suppose this is where the school buses park and unload. However, this pavilion is closed off. We had to park at some apartments located across the street. The trail is just about a mile long and we did not encounter anyone during the hour we were there! I don't believe anyone from the community walks there, as it is mostly used by the school district and the research project near by. Watch out for the fire ants!"
"It’s a nice trail, but not long at all and the signs have all fallen down, just wish it was a longer trail with a dog park area, there are so many families with pets that go there."
