"The people behind the counter seemed a little unfriendly, the selection was pretty limited, and the prices were extremely exorbitant even for a gas station. I will avoid the dam store in the future."
"The last "Dam" place you should stop at. Absolutely hostile to customers. Asked how much CASH to turn on the pump to fill our boat for the day, cashier proceeded to attack me for just asking. We've always wondered why zero boat clubs stop here, now we know. We fish every weekend and thought we would support a independent local business, and got attacked instead. Masculine woman hostile to cash paying customers is a death knell for any business."
"Best Burgers EVER!! The store is maintained by the best workers that are there every single day, even through holidays. Because of COVID they have gone through some changes, but always work hard to make sure everything I need is there for me. The woman and man that own the store are so sweet and caring. I just don't like that other people have posted negative reviews that are so misleading. Like so many stores went through hard times because of COVID and now that a Mom/Pop store is going through it you make a bad review because of the change in hours? Try the food there, it's so good."
"I stopped here on the way to Pilot Point and noticed the ‘Dam’ Burger sign and thought ‘why not’? Best decision I’ve made in a while. Ordered a cheeseburger (double) thinking it might be your typical flat paddy. Boy was I wrong. This burger was the size of my head. Easily a pound of burger- cooked on a nice old flattop. Greasy and delicious. I’m planning a trip back just to get another. The bad reviews about gas or times they open. It’s a small convenience store in the middle of Texas. Get over yourselves."
"Been going to this place for MANY MANY years with decent experiences until yesterday. The owner is a nice lady but the man that is also there all the time not so much. I told the guy good morning when I first walked in and he just gave me the cold shoulder. A little later he yelled at me for asking what time I was able to purchase beer in the morning. A simple thing a person who runs a store should know as we were going fish that day and it was early and not sure of the TABC rules. He has a bad temper and needs to learn some customer service skills. For being 7 AM it was a very heated and aggressive conversation and it got bad enough I didn't know just how much further he was willing to take it.The owner never apologized for his behavior. Ive let everyone I know who frequents the store the story as well. Get it together Dam store."
