"This groomer does not know or care how to correctly cut dogs' nails, and also overheard him yelling at a dog while grooming them. He cut the majority of my dog's nails (mostly light colored with easily visible quicks) much too short - so much so that one of the nails on my dog's rear paw was still bleeding sluggishly when I took him home after his haircut (leaving blood marks on my floors and bedspread), and another nail on a front paw started bleeding during his evening walk 3 hours later, even though I'd put on balloon boots in the effort to protect his too short nails. When I contacted the groomer after first picking up my pup and noticing the blood, he apologized and said he didn't notice otherwise he would have put on qwikstop, said I could come back so he could apply it, so I did. When I expressed my upset to him in person and asked if he could offer compensation for making my dog bleed, he scoffed a laugh at me and said no, insisting that "it happens all the time," it's not a big deal and "it doesn't hurt the dog." I don't know if he was outright lying to my face or if he is ignorant of the fact that the quick is nerve and absolutely, 100% hurts the dog if it is cut, and can even result in infection or nerve damage if cut too deep. Either way, it is completely unacceptable for a dog groomer. Also unacceptable is a groomer who yells at dogs while grooming them - which is what I walked in on when I first came to pick up my dog. He talks to dogs in a very kind and cutesy way in front of customers, so it was pretty shocking to hear him yelling at one of the dogs when he wasn't expecting a customer to be there. I feel so awful thinking that he likely yelled at my pup while grooming him too, let alone making him bleed. And seeing now an older review saying a similar thing about the yelling, I do not believe it was a one-off thing but likely a regular behavior."
"Pleased every time with the outcome of Paul’s work. We bring our Pomeranian and she always looks top notch. Today bringing our Morki and I know she will look great too. Highly recommend!"
"I just took my yorkie/border terrier mix, Ella, to Paul for grooming for the second time yesterday. He is so sweet to my dog and remembered her right away even though it had been months. He was able to schedule me in quickly and Ella looked like a brand new dog when I picked her back up a short time later! She looks adorable and even better, she smells AMAZING!!"
"This is such a great grooming salon. Our dog, Coco, is always a bit nervous about going to the groomer and/or vet. Paul is so kind, our dog really likes being with him. And she comes home looking terrific."
"Eileen is the best. Our soft-coated Wheaten is very high-strung and nervous, and collects messes in his fur as if he's velcro. He loves being there, and looks great. She brushes his teeth, clips nails and does it all. Her love of all creatures really shows."
