"11/10/2023 First and foremost, you must obtain a day pass (permit)for your vehicle in this area to hike here. They can be picked up at the Crab Orchard visitor center off of 148, or if you have a QR code reader you can scan and pay using your phone on site, or the $2.00 vehicle fee can be placed in one of their envelopes, enter the date on the envelope and tear off the portion to be displayed in your vehicle and place the envelope in the appropriate slot. We did the entire Rocky Bluff loop trail which is roughly 2.2 miles. There are beautiful rock formations, wild life, fungi, just a great place to explore and enjoy nature. I would consider this a moderate trail due to the length, tree roots, rocks and steps you will encounter along the way. There is no restroom on site."
"Mostly a walk in the woods, with a nice waterfall (when the water is more than a trickle, and some views along the creek. Not very much elevation gain"
"First off, trail is open, there is a short walk from where you have to park to the trail head. Less than a quarter mile. Trail is serene and mostly shaded by the trees. There is an abundance of very ambitious orb spiders webbing the trail in hopes of capturing their Thanksgiving Feast early. I was told there are copperhead’s and other snakes, but I did not see any. Coming from Colorado, the humidity was difficult, but the trail is fairly easy to track. If you’re directionally challenged, screenshot your map prior. There are a few posted signs, but a lot of places to wonder off course."
"Very nice trail. Well maintained. Mostly graveled. Approximately 2 mile loop."
