"Great place if you can get a spot on the water. I like that it is first come first served. The racoons are extra large and very experienced at stealing food, don't think it will be safe in a cooler, it will not be. Lots of deer, that are not too afraid of people. Great catfishing lake, but the buffalo knats are terrible on the water after dark, they will not bother you on bank without a light on."
"Cheap camping with electric. First come first serve. You cannot make reservations here. Five big loops with campsites. Some are by the lake. All sites are $20 a night. Limit of 14 day stay although they may have more permanent sites if needed. Bathrooms available with flush toilets and showers. Pit toilets also available the closer you are to the lake. I would stay here overnight again. Camp host said they are never full and they always have availabilities."
"This was rend lake at Wayne Fitzgerald campground. The bathroom at the camp does not have flushing toilets but there are shower houses and flushing toilets right when you’re coming into the campground. It’s a very nice place to stay and lots of kids and people with dogs. It’s also the only campground on rend lake where you don’t need a reservation because of corona."
"We camped here one night, would certainly have made it longer. No reservations allowed everyone access to great sites, with lake views or wooded inland sites. Sites were quiet, clean and spacious, friendly camp hosts, clean showers and restrooms. A lot of cute and less than cute wildlife. Easy access to the lake if you had kayaks."
"Stayed at Wayne Fitzgerall State Park on Rend Lake. Unfortunately, being run by a state with no money, no improvements or updates have been made for 20+ yrs. Next t ok me we go to Rend Lake, we're staying at one of the Corp of Engineers c as mp grounds---North Sandusky, South Sandusky, Gun Creek, and South Marcum."
