"A nice walk for my brother and I. Almost 6 miles including walking on the dam and a walk to the city park from the path. The cable bridge is nice. And to spend time on the bridge watching the Kaskaskia river flow, very peaceful ."

"Catch fish watch birds eagles pelicans swan etc.. ride bikes next to the river.. camping is great at dam east or west on the lake. As for me, I finally got a decent flathead this spring. And I let him go.. come try to catch it. Stop by Hinkel Hook and Arrow for bait 1st."
"The bridge is linked to a walking trail that goes up and down both sides of the river and incorporating the Dam into it will form a loop including stairs up the Dam. I really enjoyed the scenic walk."
