"We started bringing our doodle puppy Gus to this location of WB a few months ago. Our little guy has always been pretty shy around new experiences, but he LOVES coming here so much! He might usually display practically perfect leash manners, but he literally pulls us all the way through the door to the gate inside. Staff at this location are super friendly, there seems to be very little turnover, and we love when they tell us about the friends Gus has made each day. We also enjoy looking through the daily pics/videos to catch a glimpse of our little guy. We work night shift, so we bring him in the morning, go home and go to bed, and pick up a happy, tired buddy in the afternoon. It is such a great solution to give our pup interaction and exercise while we are unconscious. We buy the 10-day pass, which shaves a few dollars off. It’s not inexpensive, but it’s totally worth it for us to have both peace of mind and a safe (fun!) place for our pup to be when we can’t be there ourselves."
"My wife and I tried The watering hole because it was recommended by a good friend We found the facility to be very clean. Staff was very courteous. Our dog has a Problem with being. Away from us, he becomes very stressed. He really enjoyed his Stay at the Watering Bowl And We will be back."
"Doggos seem to enjoy it there! Wish we could get more updates on how all the dogs are doing. Will try boarding next and see how that goes."
"After they booked my dog’s boarding reservation wrong (she was booked almost a month in advance into a suite) the day of check in, I was told that the person who made the reservation no longer works there and booked my dog into a kennel and not a suite and the suites were full. After I was assured that my dog would in fact be placed into a suite for the weekend, and they offered to send me photos , I was going to quietly walk away and simply not bring my dog back there for daycare, boarding or grooming services. However, when I picked up my dog and was told what happened…I decided to write a review There were storms in the area on Saturday and I was told that the suite area flooded. I am aware that this is beyond the control of the staff. How the staff reacted was within their control and completely inappropriate. I was told at pick up that my dog was put in a kennel until the suites dried out. Again….I understand that there was flooding, I understand that this is unusual and not the fault of the watering bowl. The concern that I have is that …after I specifically said that I did not want my dog in a kennel (she is 8 years old and not used to a kennel)…after I was assured that she would not be in a kennel. Without a phone call to me or my dog’s emergency contact to be given the option of picking her up, they went against my wishes and our agreement. Ultimately, I am responsible…I should not have left her there at all after the initial incident with the reservation But I do want to make other owners aware so that they can make the decision that is right for them and their dog(s)."
"I tried taking my dog to the Watering Bowl because it was closer to my house than his previous daycare/boarding facility in Saint Charles. I boarded him while I was out of town and I paid extra for him to stay in a suite compared to a kennel. On day two, I was contacted by staff telling me that my dog was aggressive and was not welcome to stay, that he showed aggressive behavior when they attempted to force him into a kennel (which is most definitely not what I was paying for). My dog has been going to daycare and has been boarded numerous times at other facilities and I have never heard that he has shown aggression in any way, and he is 3 years old. Interesting how all of a sudden he is showing aggression. He didn’t seem to have a problem with day staff, it seems to have fallen mostly on night staff. This tells me that this “incident” is more because staff doesn’t know how to properly handle dogs. My dog was sad and scared the night he was picked up. I 100% do not recommend bringing your dog here. Staff was rude and unprofessional, and they charged me for a suite when they were making him sleep in a cage. We took him to No Leash Needed (where he previously used to attend) for the remainder of the weekend and he had no issues whatsoever."
