Dames Bark Grooming

"My 4 dogs absolutely love going to Dames Bark. The owner Jamie is always friendly and the groomers are awesome. I highly recommend giving them a try."

"I took my dog there and after the 1st time they groomed her, they said she was too wild and I should get sedatives to give her before her next grooming. I was a little surprised because my previous groomer never had any problems and always told us she was great. I took their word for it and asked her vet for the sedatives. The next time she was scheduled to be groomed, even though I was not very comfortable having to give my dog drugs, I decided to because they told me she needed it to stay calm because they were afraid she would get hurt. I followed the instructions, gave her the correct dosage at the time she was supposed to have it in advance of her appointment. I took her in and got a call awhile later saying they couldn’t cut her hair because she was still too wild. They only bathed her and still charged me $70. They said to bring her back the next week after she took the sedatives and they did groom her then, I assumed they wouldn’t charge the full amount again and they did. At that appt they also told me I was not brushing her enough and needed to use a wire brush. My dog is only about 15 lbs and has short hair. She did not like the wire brush because it hurt her. Needless to say I was not happy with their “service “, had enough aggravation and decided to change groomers. This was about a year ago and her new groomers tell me she is great and have not had any issues at all. I was relieved to discover she did not need to be drugged after all. I also have friends that have had horrible experiences at Dames Bark. I would not recommend anyone bring their pets there for grooming!"

"Tried a couple of other places, and all we got was how horrible our dog was and all the things we were doing wrong with him. Took our boy (one year old goldendoodle) to Dames Bark today, and she said he was the sweetest! His hair looks absolutely amazing!! I mean, there is not a hair out of place or anything she missed! We will be returning here and nowhere else!!"

"This was my 5 month old Bichon Frises first trip to the groomer. I am sure she was a handful, but they managed to give her a nice trim all over, bath, nail clip and fluffy blow dry. I am impressed and will definitely bring her back."
