Aztec Cave

"I love this hiking trail and cave more than any other one in El Paso! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it is truly the perfect amount of difficulty for someone who’s looking for a good hike up a mountain but not too changeling! It does get a bit tough towards the top when you’re trying to get in and out of the cave but even then it’s only for that small section and wasn’t too bad. Definitely be careful if you have kids! They can most likely do it as like I said, I did as a kid and also saw many many others family’s here with kids as well! The area is super family friendly and the cave will usually have a few families enjoying the cave and view in it! Overall definitely the best hike in El Paso for me personally! Highly recommend!!!"

"Myself, wife and 3 kids. 7, 4 and 11 months hiked this. Took 2 hours round trip but we stopped inside the cave for about 30 minutes. It eventually does get steep the closer you get to the cave and once getting to the cave is the worst of it. But overall I’d still say beginner level hiking."

"Lovely hiking trail. It can get a little busy on weekends. The way down can be tricky for some people. I recommend shoes with chunky grip."
