"Charging $15 hour parking and $10 entry fee to use public facilities paid using your own tax money should be a criminal offense. This place was clearly built for the rich and to deliberately keep poor people with families away. Shame on anyone that supports this injustice."
"Make yourself a favor and don’t go there if you are not a HP resident. You need to pay $15 per hour for parking plus $10 per person for beach access but that’s not all. The 4 hour parking deal ($40) is not working on the crapy machine - very convenient. When you get to the beach surprisingly you need to pay another $10 per person. You would expect the beach to be excellent for that price but that’s not the case either. The sand is actually a pea gravel and it’s not near as nice as other Lake Michigan beaches. Right after we set up the umbrella, chairs and everything else up we’ve been asked to relocate a couple hundred feet away due some campers coming, so we lost the first hour of the $15/h parking to deal with greedy employees."
