"I recently experienced a loss and sought to arrange a floral tribute for the service of an employee. Upon reaching out to Aubrey Florist, I was initially quoted $250 for a standing spray, which included delivery. I was directed to their social media platforms to view a catalog of arrangements due to their incomplete website. With only two examples of a standing spray, I had little insight into how the final arrangement would look. When I expressed my desire to see a visual representation of the potential design, I was denied and told to “trust them.” This statement didn’t sit well with me, as I’ve never made a blind purchase before, especially when others provided monetary contributions towards the arrangement. Feeling increasingly frustrated, I sought alternative options, but unfortunately, no other local florists were able to deliver to the service. I was reluctant but eventually proceeded with the purchase, only to be surprised by an additional delivery fee, which was not included in the initial quote. I requested a picture of the arrangement and a receipt, but never received it. The service was on Friday and no one ever reached out. After leaving a voicemail the day after the service, I was finally contacted on Monday, only to be informed that providing pictures was not standard practice. I felt completely disregarded, especially when I learned that the family was allowed to review and approve the arrangement without considering my input as the consumer. The representative confirmed my email to finally send the receipt and eventually sent a picture of the arrangement to my phone. I promptly shared the picture with those who had generously contributed towards the arrangement. Unfortunately, many of them agreed that while the floral tribute was beautiful, it wasn’t as full as expected. Overall, my experience with Aubrey was deeply unsatisfactory, and I hope they will consider demonstrating more integrity with their consumers and adopting a more personable approach. Customers invest a significant amount of money and would appreciate being included in the approval process for custom arrangements."
