Reviews of Flowers Baking Co
"A great company to work for a highly recommended to anyone who's looking for steady patient job with benefits and good treatment and also also a chance to prove your skills and your abilities to keep"
"This company has simply been the opportunity of a lifetime. Definitely deserving of a 5 star rating from myself. The positives overwhelmingly outweigh that negatives to the point of them being one tweak away from being non existent once they are identified. Probably the one thing I respect the most is that the company gives opportunities to many people who have had limited opportunities due to having made bad choices in life and/ or those who were actually homeless. Although to many this is just a job. For others it has been a life changing experience. It's pretty impressive when your HR Departments are champions of the community. I've worked there for 16 and a half years under the tutelage of Frank Garcia, the master of motivation and employee management. It was as simple as buying in, and wanting to be a part of a winning team. But it all starts at the top with people who generally care about people, and care about their product, My comments are the direct result of working in that culture."
"They stick race with race when it comes to training , one of the issues with that is That Not everyone is meant to be a trainer. Instead of sticking someone with a trainer with a proven track record who knows how to talk to people respectfully you are matched up with someone just because you are the same race. I would briefly be matched with a separate trainer during breaks and it was excellent, until mine would return. My trainer came at me in ways no man should come at another man. Mfer this f-u that. Pop on the stomach, etc . There is nothing wrong with a stern trainer, but he was down right disrespectful.I've never been the type to do this but I left mid shift because I couldn't take it anymore. I'm not the type to snitch, so I never spoke on it. But the training definitely needs a overhaul, specifically the Bunline ."
"Great place to work if your not scared to actually work! Weekly compensation is cool at a competitive hourly rate. Overtime is welcome there but the shifts are 12 hours except for shipping dept. They work normal 8 hr shifts as their position requires more physical activities"
"Horrible! My son worked there for over two years and in a lead position. They state they are family oriented but they are not. My son is a family man with two small children. One evening he was throwing up for 5 hours and experiencing dizziness. Not knowing what could be wrong, especially during this pandemic, we headed to get him to the emergency room. When he attempted to call in, he was told if he did not come in he would be fired. Why would you want someone with a legit medical issue to come into work for the safety of others...the next day he was fired due to their attendance point system, with no exceptions for an actual medical situation. Well, today he is going through surgery and I assure you, he and his family will be fine.. Thanks for caring Flowers!"
